One of the best teams to use past series as a reference is the Lakers. They certainly have their patterns. I've brought up the Rockets series from 2 years ago and the similarities are certainly there:

Lakers lose game 1 (by 8 to houston; by 9 to new orleans) ... Lakers win game 2 (by 13 over houston; by 9 over new orleans) ...

In Game 3 @ Houston, Lakers won pretty easily (108-94). They lost game 4 handily, dominated game 5, lost game 6, and won game 7.

Of course no one really knows what is going to happen this series, but my take is that they win and cover game 3, lose game 4, then win game 5 and 6.

I think the time to play Denver is Game 4. OKC will be rested; I doubt the altitude bothers them in this spot. I do think Denver wins here, but not sure about the cover. Should be a good game.

I'm an OKC fan and I think Denver probably wins this game but what makes eveyone think they are going to blow OKC out. OKC could easily cover this spread if not win the game outright.

OKC has beaten Denver 4 straight times in the past few weeks including a win in Denver.

It's been amusing hearing some of the analyst after OKC's first two playoff wins.

After game one they were saying OKC was in trouble because Durant and Westbrook were the only people scoring.

After game two, when other OKC players poured in, they were saying OKC was in trouble because we are jump shooting team and our shot won't always be there. I guess it's a good thing they play 7 game series!

I think it will be a good game tonight. It's more important for Denver and they are at home in a must game win so I would give them a slight edge. That being said, 5 is a lot to cover against a team that has been owning them.
