Mavericks vs. Lakers Tomorrow Thoughts?

I disagree with the lookahead assessment. We're talking about one of the oldest and most professional rosters in the NBA. They take all games seriously because it's in the final 10 games of the season and at this point, every win matters.

Also, I fail to see how their record with Dirk in the lineup is all that relevant when the Lakers beat the Mavs in Dallas on March 12th with Dirk in the lineup. He scored 25 but that didn't prevent the Lakers from winning by 5. In their previous game on Jan 19, Dirk shot poorly while the Mavs won the game. I'm not disrespecting the Mavs here, but I think rest will be a factor tomorrow and signs of fatigue have been visible in the Mavs last two games against the Suns & Clippers. They won those games through superior talent and depth over inferior teams. The Lakers will challenge them for the entire game.

Lakers are favoured at -6.5. Take Dallas to cover. This is a HUGE game, that 2nd seed in the west is so important right now, this is a playoff game.

Depends on the spread. If I can get Dallas at +6 or +7 then I think I'd take Dallas. Anything lower and I'd take LA.

51-13 is much more relevant than TWO head-to-head meetings. Anything can happen in one game, but long-term, +6.5 looks like +EV

I feel like this is a coin toss, which is why I am touting the 1Q lakers bet if anything at all. Even that is risky, but I feel it is less risky than the entire game line.

Lakeshow ML may be the bet here. If I can get Mavs +7 then I'd probably take Mavs to cover. No way are the Mavs going to roll over and die in this game, they compete hard in every game.

Isnt -6.5 crazy against a team with such players and such a record. Lakers have played 6 straight home games. Against orlando they were -5.5, portland -6 and phoenix -7. I am a total noob but it seems like dallas is the best team out of the three. So it seems very strange to put dallas@6.5. Even though lakers are strong after the allstar gam ethey are only 4-5 ATS @ home.

Seems like a close game. Aren't laker fans just driving up the price

Dallas +6.5 BIG i dont understand why people think Lakers will blow them out Mavs had a nice practice match against the Clippers both teams will show up tonight it will be a classic one or 2 possession game so why would you not take the points and Mavs are on b2b in LA come on now can it be more perfect.

Dallas wasn't that great against the Suns or Clips in their last 2 games. Maybe they didn't get up for the last 2 games but you have to like the Layers in this spot. Lakers might roll.

Playing the Clippers is more of a scrimmage than actual game.

Its fun playing teams that doesnt box out for rebounds, hedge off screens, double team, play transition defense, or have a NBA caliber head coach.

Think of last nights game as a full speed practice for the real thing tonight.

Trust me when I say it maddens me to see that type of basketball nightly. Clippers/Lakers are the teams that are shown locally in Las Vegas. To see the Lakers play defense one night, and then the Clippers attempt to do so the next is pure comedy.
