You guys complained that Mods weren't doing enough about keeping the NBA forum clean and yet it's you guys who are doing the same thing over and over and over again, running from thread to thread rehashing the same old nonsense. Do you realise that some of you have been arguing about the same garbage for almost a year of your life???? With strangers on an Internet forum???
It's not the new members of the forum who pop into a thread, talk some trash and disappear who are derailing the NBA forum. It's the supposed 'veterans'. The same names over and over again.
Don't you guys get sick of this?? Pretty bloody sad that for all the knowledge you all would have if you stopped whining at each other and combined it instead, that you choose to waste your energy on this.
Regardless, keep it up if you must but it won't be tolerated so if you would all like to go on the same vacation together, please feel free to continue. Your choice.Comment -

I have never seen any "rules" since i have been here regarding posts..that is the responsibility of the website to educate as to what is acceptable and what is not...think this would go a "long way" in eradicating the problem..if you list the rules....then no one has any excuseComment -
JR, the rules have always been the same. Not only have I repeated them several times in the past month or so but from looking at the history of the people in here, they've been reminded of them privately either through warnings or infractions.
In a nutshell: Keep all talk in the NBA forum about either NBA handicapping or betting strategies on games. Don't personally attack someone, as in: no racism, no name calling, no belittling someone for anything to do with their private lives (or what one may assume to be about their private lives), etc. If you don't like someone's plays or reasoning behind their plays, fair enough. But telling that person they are an idiot, a douche, etc... isn't acceptable. Following someone from thread to thread in the NBA forum just to hound them isn't acceptable. And continually trying to instigate an argument, especially about the same stuff over and over, isn't acceptable. That's the very definition of trolling.
There are other areas of the forum for people to have at it if they wish and it will be much less moderated - but this particular subforum isn't the place.
Remember - every time someone reports a post, the Mod who receives it takes a look at the recent history of both the person who posted and the person who reported. Reporting something simply because a person has a personal vendetta against a fellow poster won't fly. Especially if the reporter hasn't exactly been acting like an innocent bystander throughout.
Help each other make money or ignore each other. It's as simple as that.

thanks. yeah thats 1 reason. Boston shot 63% in their last win over the spurs while SA shot well under 50% and that game came down to the final shot. Rondo dished out like 25 assists in that game too and thats not happening tonight. Boston has not looked good recently anyway and the Spurs bench had some quality minutes in the last game. The over in dallas? Thought you would go the other way. Any particular reasoning for that play? I know some recent trends (dal on no rest, lal on 3+ days rest, etc.) and the refs favor the over here. But the line movement, or lack thereof, and the playoff like atmosphere tell me this will be a defensive battle. Im on the under for 2.5x.
