Trying to make it to $25k WITHOUT spending a penny

Basically going to try to rack up enough SBR points to be able to get $1k in my sportsbook account then turn that cash into $25k before the end of the year. Not going to be a get rich quick scheme, gonna take some time with smart money management bets. Plus I'm using this thread as a way to document my 2011 picks. There may be days where I don't have a pick from my system and I'll just make some comments on threads I follow to get the 6 SBR points for the day. No write-ups on my plays, just the picks. I can throw out there a ton of stats and trends but it won't make much of a difference if the pick doesn't win. Fade or follow, it's your choice, but GL in whatever you do.

Thats what i was doing since my BR went bust. Trying for that 850 magical point number for $50 cash. -500 points 2 months later. Still going though.

I guess you missed the minus in front of that 500.

And i'm actually sticking to my units too 1x=10 points and the majority of the plays are @ the min. 5.5. I still think i can turn it around cause i realize what the mistakes are (like tailing wrong people or making plays for the wrong reasons), just not results yet.

Oh, I didn't realize you were using the - as a negative, betting for the wrong reasons and getting off course won't happen this year. Stick with it!

They can be used to buy sportbook cash or free plays which you can then turn into cash if you can do the rollover. At the top of the page there is a link to the SBR Store, they can be found then as well as other gifts.

Theres no catch. You need a lot of points to get a few bucks and you have to spend it on gambling.

Cash. I don't mind the 5x rollover, I will have bet that amount more than enough to get my winnings when it's all said and done. More than likely I won't just stop all together if I actually make it to the $25k.

Not sure with the whole free play money how many times the books make you bet it before withdrawing the money.

I agree Mike, the odds are against me but usually something like this fails when you start getting off track on how you're usually betting. Hopefully that won't happen here and if it doesn't work out at least I know I didn't have to dip into my pocket (or anybody else that follows) to get it started. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for the supportive words slim, I think this is more of a test for myself on patience (I've learned the hard way that sports betting is a marathon), making smart plays, and sticking to smart money management. And in the process succeeding in something that I think everyone in here knows is a longshot would be the added bonus. There will be some people in here that are actually betting on real money, so I'll find it rewarding that they may be banking off some of my plays. There is a 5x rollover on the free cash ($1k) that I'll receive but by the time I reach the $25k I will have bet more than the required amount ($5k) so I'm not too worried about cashing out at the end of this.
