According to the calculator yes, but the system is hitting over 68% with almost 200 plays this season so it seems to be working right now.

Also, I see that this thread is only for plays without buying the points? That's good because a lot of people can't get the 3 points for -170 anyways....

So Cheme, do you only pick plays that have a 2.5% edge WITH buying the points and then just bet those straight?

RAS for CBB and a new system that doesn't require you to buy points. I started working on that on my time off because I knew the 3-point buy was going to be an issue for a lot of people

That's correct, the 2.5% is arbitrary to limit the plays but you can play anything with smaller edges but for less units.

CBB plays are RAS, NBA are system bets that are not mine anymore they are more of a public domain here at SBR. I just come and post them for the people that are not too comfortable figuring them out on their own but it is my goal to get to the point where everyone can get their own plays.

I might have a few plays for the playoffs but nothing like back a couple of years ago when I had the whole league dialed in. When I joined SBR back in '08 all I capped was NFL and I was damn good at it, then I started getting into other sports and changed my methods a lot. I used to break down games like a tout would do (except I actually won lol) and even come up with writeups for the games.

It looks like we are gonna get swept tonight so I'm gonna post the link for my playoff thread from a couple of years ago just for shit and giggles.

Because I'm realistic about this hobby of ours, few people make a living doing this full-time, and the ones that do tend to have some qualities I really don't aspire to acquire as a human being. Like the pro poker players that don't tip the dealers because it reduces their hourly rate.
