Moving my picks from Players Talk to 1 thread here. Maybe I won't have to deal with the point stiffs and cartoon kids. This thread will contain picks, discussions on those games, and just random topics in general.


0-2 yesterday losing a +400 and 1st q play. For the month I think its about 5-3 but with a +310 dog in there that was a top play. Last month it was horrible, about 2-12 on posted plays, and before that it was around 70% over about 50 plays. This month I'll just add random plays but starting Jan 1st I'll try to keep an accurate record. The reason why I don't now is because the plays I post are about 20% of games I actually play.

If anyone PMs me, I won't have them on after I release a top play until a few days after its over (mainly so I don't get bitched at), and right now I'm going to be having Wizards ML as a top play tomorrow.

you'll still find trolls in the nba subforum, just look at lyons and lbs thread however the discussions here are much better. hope to learn something from you along the way rudy. wizards have yet to have a road win but the nets are a pretty bad team right now. good luck, your top bets are usually cash. are you gonna keep track of your top bets record separately from your action play record?

no itll be a game type thing that way there will be incentive for me to keep track, but ill let it be known if its a top play

Nice Rudy! It'll be a lot easier to find you on a daily basis. For each of the idiots that bash you after a loss, there is a quiet guy or two that truly appreciate your efforts.

Soooo.....the brutal loss is probably an omen that tomorrow's top play is a winner!! I hate that you lost anything, Rude Dog.....but i know you don't like going undefeated the day before a top play. You could actually say you took that Suns 1q loss for the team!!

Wizards opened at +5.5 so ML will be around +190 - +200. Technically its not a top play until/unless there is RLM as well, but I'll be playing it as one anyway. But, a top play is only 5% of my roll...so a big loss doesn't bury me and on the flip side, I won't be going to buy another house if it wins.

5% is not as much money as you might think. I don't really want to get into specifics, but I don't claim to be a high roller, especially anymore. 4yrs ago I might've been considered bigger than normal, but now its pennies on the dollar to what it use to be. Plus I withdrew a lot a few weeks ago.

Question is, do you want to know what books I recommend or which do I play at usually?

The ones I don't play at as much this time of year, but find them very valuable for everyone is SIA and Bodog. If you are a regular bettor, you are missing tons of value by not betting there. Ofcourse, if you only bet their square lines, you will be limited quickly. The key (for me) is to use those books in sports where I really don't feel as confident and "square lines" might not appear that square.

Sportsbook.com is one I play at that I wouldn't recommend, but I've cashed out quite a bit 4yrs ago (during that time when I might've been considered a bigger player than normal) and have had no problems cashing out.

5% will be on the ML only. Some top plays I'll do 3% on ATS and 2% on ML (or any other combo to get to 5) but not tonight. But again, I just want to say a loss won't bury me and a win won't put me on top of the world.

Couldn't agree more.

I have accounts at both sites, and regularly get much better value with dogs -- sometimes as much as 1 to 1.5 points.
