How's it going fellas? I had a nice night to end my week, sweeping the 6 nba games I played yesterday. Haven't looked at todays card in depth yet. I did see that Paco has a SCS on Bobcats for 27x for anyone interested. His SCS play's have been pretty solid.

The focus of the betting nation is heightened on the NCAA Tournament, one of the top spectacles in sports, which begins Thursday, March 17.
But for more and more bettors, conference tournaments are becoming the popular choice and, as some cappers will tell you, they have the potential to provide a bigger windfall than the Big Dance that follows.
Here are four reasons why those cappers cashed in during the conference tournaments.
Quick turnaround
Malinsky believes the conference tournaments provide the unique opportunity to jump on the oddsmakers, who are working against a clock to produce quick spreads.
“The oddsmakers face some of their biggest challenges in these games,” he says. “They are forced to deal fresh lines based on matchups that are being determined on the fly. In the NCAA Tournament, the oddsmakers do not have to deal with those time pressures.”
“Particularly on the West Coast,” adds Sevransky. “A game might end at midnight and you have to have a spread up at 7 a.m. the next morning.”
Emotion factor
Lawrence sees conference tournaments as one last chance for teams to gain the upper hand on a rival or an opponent that had their number in the regular season.
“Revenge can be a powerful tool in handicapping conference tourney games,” says Lawrence, “and when applied properly can be the difference in winning and losing the handicapping battle with the oddsmakers.”
Lack-of-emotion factor
In this year’s Big Ten Tournament, squads on the NCAA bubble like Michigan and Illinois have much more on the line than shoo-ins like Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Sevransky notes the case of North Carolina, especially under current coach Roy Williams. North Carolina, a perennial powerhouse, has just two ACC tournament titles and three title-game berths in the last 11 years.
It puts oddsmakers in a precarious pickle.
“You have legitimate motivation issues,” says Sevransky. “There are many coaches with teams that have to be favored, but they don’t give a hoot because their eyes are on the bigger prize the following week.
“It’s a classic case of disinterested favorites, which you always like to see.”
“The ability of coaches to generate gameplans without practice time brings unique edges,” adds Malinsky. “And knowing which teams will literally quit when they fall behind big in a game and which will play hard for the full 40 minutes no matter what the score is can lead to some outstanding situations.”
Not that simple
The experts will provide some caveats, too.
Conference tournaments are for the well-informed, says Malinsky. After all, the teams facing each other are often doing so for a third time.
Because of that, Merril believes oddsmakers could potentially wield more power for conference tournaments. The NCAA Tournament, he argues, takes more in-depth analysis to prepare for because many of the matchups are unique. There are oftentimes no common opponents and strength of schedule and statistics vary greatly.
“The (conference tournament) lines are much sharper and accurate because the oddsmakers have more accurate power ratings since the teams all played basically the same opponents and strength of schedule,” says Merril. “So I pay more attention to my power ratings in the conference tournaments to make sure I am not giving up any line value.”
Also, depth becomes a factor in the back-to-back-to-back nature of conference tourneys.
“However,” Merril adds, “you can still find excellent opportunities by focusing on matchups, coaching, et cetera.”
Malinsky also says it’s important to examine past games for possible anomalies – stellar 3-point shooting or offensive rebounding, for example – that is not typical of a particular team.
“We can see clear ‘basketball pendulums’ that are likely to revert back towards their norm in the second, or third, encounter,” he says.
Bigger Dance
When all factors are taken into account, the experts have shown through past results that conference tournaments can be as profitable, if not much more so, as the Big Dance.
“My clients like the Big Dance, because it’s the Big Dance. It’s like a holiday,” says Sevransky. “In terms of sheer market potential, there’s no comparison. I expect to make more the next 10 days than I will in the NCAA Tournament.”

old dominion vs VCU the other two games between the two were split between the two teams btoh winning at the other teams home courts. The stat that is alarming is the rebounding advantage in old dominion corner! game1 33-28 but vcu won that won and 2game old dominion smoked them on the boards 40-21.it could go either way but vcu is the hotter team i think and are playing better

watch out with that scs with the two leading scorers being absent from the line up for the bobcats i understand pac's view that they only scored 69pts last game vs portland but the two players your relying on are augustin and diaw and if they have a bad night your in for a long night with no scoring options

PORTLAND, Ore. The concern wasn't that the Charlotte Bobcats could score only 69 points in a loss Saturday to the Portland Trail Blazers.
The concern was this didn't surprise anyone. It could be the norm going forward until Stephen Jackson recovers from a left hamstring strain. Combine Jackson's injury (he's out indefinitely) with the trade that sent Gerald Wallace to Portland, and the Bobcats have lost their two most reliable offensive options.
With power forward Boris Diaw shooting 1 of 8 from the field and point guard D.J. Augustin going 1 of 6 from 3-point range, it was less than shocking the Bobcats never reached 70 points.
"When you're missing your best scorer, it's going to be hard to put the ball in the basket,'' said Bobcats coach Paul Silas, whose team hosts the Los Angeles Clippers tonight. "The fact is, we just don't have enough right now.
"Once Tyrus (Thomas) comes back and we get Jack back, I think we'll be much better.''
Power forward Thomas is close to a return from six weeks off, following surgery to repair torn meniscus in his left knee. Thomas could play Friday against the Blazers.
Considering how poorly Diaw has played of late (shooting 4 of 23 from the field in the three games out West), Thomas will play a lot as soon as he's ready, and it's not inconceivable he'll take over the starting spot sometime this season.
There's no timetable for Jackson's return, except Silas is adamant they won't let him play until he's truly healed.
"It's going to be very difficult for us without him, but it would be more difficult with him out there, hurt,'' Silas said.
"The difficult part is we almost have to start over again,'' Silas said of the combination of Jackson's injury and trading Wallace. "We were at a point where I thought we were ready to take off. We will still have to get it together and make it happen. We're still only one game out'' from the last playoff spot in the East.
Asked about the Wallace trade, Silas said, "It was really hard because Gerald Wallace was leading this ball club in the right direction. We were beating some very good teams, and with him I felt we would be in every game we played.
"But that's part of the business; they want to revamp this thing and make sure in the future we have the best team we can have.''

Love Iona tonight to not only win, but to cover the spread. I think they blowout St. Peters.
VCU could win that CAA Title Game. Prefer North Texas and I think the SoCon is a pickem. Should be a good matchup there.
