ok with roy out and camby out and oden out the blazers are still hanging on in the west !!I think that they are better with the young guys in there anyway and matthews and bartum are 2 nasty young players!!!Tonight they will have a banged up lamarcus aldridge had a mri on the hip he had surgery on already and it came up negative!Plus the man is on fire lately winning conference player of the week last week!!The celtics will bang him around big time tonight with perkins and garnett (no shaq)plus semi to! I like latech so far.. As for the total 2 things.. Knicks have double revenge so I see them having a good shooting night along with james in the garden... Now the best part is 3'3 basketball this season everyone of the first games of the double header went over the total.. The 2 that didnt were a suns game where nash was a surprise scratch.. to be honest I think the -5 or even -4.5 line seems very high for the road team especially as far as Portland is travel wise.
Ask yourself what would the C's be favored if they were the home team (likely -8) so the line of -5 is very high.
Not sure if Celtics flight experienced any weather delays, think they flew out last night just ahead of the storm.
Portland is 16-6 at home this year which is quite impressive.
Potential good news: I suspect he won't play tonight but Shaq did make the flight so he may in fact play.
Perkins being back obviously is a big boost.
I think this game completely hinges on Aldridge. Portland is dependent on him think if he plays a good/great game they can hang in there and cover the spread if not win.
If he doesn't this has easy win for the Celtics all over it.
Personally going to play the Celtics but likely not too big. The linesmakers high line to me says that they think Aldridge will not be right and that the C's are the right play.Comment -

Roch I know everyone is on them but I don't see how Illinois loses to Indiana without their 2 best guards. Sometimes the public is right (UCONN+5) 70% of public on them. I am looking at Miss. St, Virginia and Ball St. I got lucky last night and the Iowa game had already tipped off before I got the bet in, I would of taken Iowa. Providence +5.5 was a nice gift. THE STORY: Vanderbilt travels to Mississippi State on Thursday in a matchup of two teams looking to get hot in Southeastern Conference play. Both the Commodores and Bulldogs put together impressive non-conference resumes this season, but are just 2-2 in SEC action. Vanderbilt moved into the national rankings this week at No. 22, snapping No. 21 St. Mary’s 11-game winning streak 89-70 on Saturday in non-conference action. Since losing at South Carolina in the SEC opener Jan. 8, Vanderbilt has won three out of four. Mississippi State comes in having four days off following an ugly 86-64 loss at Georgia on Saturday. The Bulldogs had lost five out of six before a modest two-game winning streak over Mississippi and Auburn. ABOUT MISSISSIPPI STATE (10-8, 2-2): After a miserable late December and early January, the Bulldogs looked like they were finding their stride, beating Mississippi and Auburn. Goulbourne won SEC player-of-the-week honors, the fourth Vanderbilt player to be so honored this season.
KEY STATISTIC: Mississippi State is last in the conference in points allowed at 70.0, and may have its hands full with a Vanderbilt offense that leads the conference and ranks 22nd in the nation in scoring at 78.7.
RECENT HISTORY: Vanderbilt has won six of the past 10 meetings, downing the Bulldogs 75-72 last Feb. 3 in Nashville. Mississippi State got revenge in the SEC Tournament, beating the Commodores in the semifinals 62-52. The Commodores lead the all-time series 72-44.
LOOKING AHEAD: A favorable schedule awaits Vanderbilt. The Commodores play four of their next five at home , starting Saturday against Arkansas. Mississippi State plays host to No. 23 Florida Saturday before playing on the road next week at Alabama (Wednesday) and LSU (Feb. 5).
