Portland +3.5...They've won four of their last five away and had 4 TO's vs. Minnesota and until injuries hit this team with this rotation is for real...Chicago got a placebo kick from the new Coach, but that's about over and the fact that they're no longer an elite defensive team and have to make jump shots to win make them a go-against here.

San Antonio +1.5...With three days off to prepare his team for a specific opponent Coach Pop is deadly. The Spurs are also the best at shutting down the transition game that Denver lives on.

504 Denver Nuggets -1½ - nuggets are healthy, spurs are not.

511 West Virginia +2 - mountaineer magic continues on the hardwood this time.

01/03/08: USCFOOTBALL33’s Parlay Of The Day

We hit our parlay yesterday, it was fun, so let’s do it again!

        Denver -1.5
Analysis: Uh Oh, the Mighty Spurs are coming to town and I guess Denver should just hand this one over. As that douche on ESPN says, “Not so fast my friend!” Denver is a very good basketball team and with Ginobli out, they are definitely better than the Spurs. But Wait! I don’t have to stop there. Denver is 12-5 at home and guess what the Spurs are on the road. Yeah, that’s right: 5-6! Simply put, with Ginobli out: the Spurs are good, but Denver is better. Take Denver to cover this measley little spread.

        Portland +3.5
Analysis: Why in the world should Chicago be favored over one of the hottest teams in the NBA? Oh I see, it’s in Chicago and Portland is 4-10 on the road. Never mind the fact that Chicago is 12-18 overall and 6-8 at home! WAKE UP! No one is afraid of The Alan Parsons Project’s “Sirius” anymore! Especially not a team that has won 9 out of its last 10 ball games! Take Portland and the points.

Trail Blazers +3 1/2 I think they are the real deal with recently having the long winning streak and I think the Bulls are the raw deal.I love the plus 3.5

Super Sonics +14 1/2 They are bad but you don't see too many plus 14.5 spreads in the NBA so I went with it.

            Chicago Bulls -3.5
            Wofford Terriers -1.5

Bulls are a Portland road fade (not much of the big streak was on the road).

Wofford hasn't lost at home yet, and Chattanooga hasn't played much on the road yet.

            Good luck everybody!

Ohio St. +4 : Buckeyes may have lost talent last season in Conley and Oden, but this team has only lost 3, 2 of them on the road, and all of them to ranked teams, i gotta back Matta to get the job done.

USC +1.5 : all you need to know is 1 word, MAYO, remember it.

UCLA -2.5 : Bruins one of the top teams and love their defensive pressure they apply. Hate to lay points on the road in conference play but I will with these guys.

Phoenix over 216.6 : Expect a high scoring game with these two teams tonght.

502 Chicago Bulls -3½......Portland not a great road team only 4 road wins and playing back to back road games.

505 Seattle Supersonics +14½.... SEA are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Phoenix.

Portland Trailblazers +3½....Bulls have a little hot streak going, winning 4 of the last 5. Two of those wins were against the Bucks and Knicks. Taking the points here.

Denver Nuggets -1½......at home and I'm hoping the Spurs are still hobbled a bit and have trouble scoring like they have the last few days.

                          Bulls -3.5 over Blazers
I like the way the Bulls are playing under the new coach. They seem to have more fire to them and he is also utilizing Noah well. Blazers obviously are a hot team but their record on the road isn't that good (4-10).

                          Stanford +2.5 over UCLA
Going against the public with this one. Stanford has the guys inside to match up with Love. I like taking the home underdogs in confrence play in general as well.

                            Cal -1.5
Mayo is overrated. I am going to bet against USC all year long.

Utah St. -11: Hate to do it, and I rarely do it, but I'm laying double digits here. This is the worst Hawaii team in several years, and they've historically been a poor road team. Utah State's 6-0 SU at home, and they return 3 starters, including the best player in the conference - Jaycee Carroll, from a team that was 13-1 at home a year ago. Hawaii's been blown out in each of its 2 road games this season, and I think it happens again tonight.

Cal -1.5: With all the hype surrounding Mayo & co., the Condoms remain largely untested on the road. Tonight they meet a Cal team that I see as being their near equal both in terms of talent and athleticism, and the Bears are only laying a bucket on their home court. Welcome to life on the road in the Pac-10, OJ.

PORTLAND +3.5 - Portland has a better coach and better players plus the Bulls have struggled. This East Coast /West Coast match up I will back the west coast team. Play Portland tonight bros.

Seattle +14.5 - The Sonics had a better December than the terrible November they experienced. They're almost a .500 team in the last 2 weeks of play. I really think that they will be able to keep it somewhat close when playing Phoenix

And Phoenix will run Seattle to the ground as they begin there first home game of 4 in a row. Prediction Suns win 118-97.

                                    Two WAC games:

Fresno State -7.5 (at La Tech). Fresno State has a very decent, and improving, team. Gave Stanford a game, on the road, on 12/29/07. La Tech is terrible. In mid-December, they lost at home, by 12, to both Arkansas Pine Bluff and Centenary. When a team is this bad, home court doesn’t mean much. Fresno State will be ready for this, their WAC opener, and will win by 15+.

Utah State -11 (v. Hawaii). Utah State is looking good. They have not lost at home, beating some pretty good teams (Santa Clara, Oral Roberts, Northern Arizona, Austin Peay) by good margins. Hawaii is not a pretty good team. They have not won on the road. They lost by 29 at New Mexico and 14 at San Diego. They’ll get blown out in this spot.

#519 Wright State - 2.5 over Wisc Milwaukee: Wright St overall better team and should be able to cover 2.5 on road

#565 Murray St. -4 over E. Illinois: E Illinois is just plain terrible only win vs Harris Stowe. Murray St has had trouble on the road but should be able to win and cover the 4

Matadors win this one by 9 or more

                                                                      Northern Arizona -2

I fully expect the Lumberjacks to cruise to a victory here, this line just seems way too low to me
