It's was a good pickup. Let's not get too crazy here. Matt Barnes is not the different between a championship and losing one. It's seems that when one team makes a move, it gets posted on here, and everybody starts overreacting. The Lakers are upgrading, just like the rest of the league is doing. I would have to list their upgrading status as average, with Miami and Chicago being the big winners so far..

Barnes is solid...He'd start on quite a few teams. Decent 3 pt shooter, and SCRAPPY AND GETS UNDER PEOPLES SKIN ON D'.

I've always liked watching him play, and enjoyed watching him against Kobe, it would always be a war. Maybe Barnes would take some cheap shots, but Kobe would do it right back. Barnes always seemed to take up the challenge of playing against Kobe. Now it will be missed.

nope i didn't forget that, it was because kobe was pissing him off like the elbow the chest area but near the throat of artest, kobe did that to throw artest off his game ( knowing artest is a knucklehead) it's hard for kobe to face artest and battier at the same time, two elite defenders

i like this signing at least when kobe and artest goes the bench, the defensive intensity won't drop off too much, barnes could help conserve kobe's energy when artest sits down, last year kobe has to defend the opponent's best perimeter player when artest sits down because brown and walton can't defend to save their lives

picking up blake was solid. you cant improve much when you have a roster like the lakers. getting rid of farmar and powell and getting blake and barnes ( 2 guys who are way better) is good work.

barnes was shooting bricks against the boston..mayb cus he had a bad back..but he was shooting bricks.. he got more famous when he went against kobe.. now he join forces with kobe.. damn...but yeh..him and devin ebanks both look like trevor ariza..now lakers got two of him(size wise)..but ebanks shooting bricks from the 3 also.. but he might improve..
