AI is a locker room cancer. Hope he does goto Miami, you got chemistry problems, AI is not the answer to that, hes like throwing gas on a fire.

This would be the biggest mistake by Miami in the history of professional sports if they sign Iverson. The coach already has enough work to do ensuring the big 3 names are more concerned about the final scores and not their personal numbers.... adding AI to the mix.... lol

AI will not be able to contribute to Miami or any other team. He didn't give the 76ers any help coming off the bench last year. He couldn't even finish the season. What a joke. Any team that signs him deserves to have a terrible season.

WHY???? AI should go to Golden State so he can average 25 a game for a couple of years not win and retire, that sounds about right for him.

Add Iverson and Shaq so it would become the same as the Eastern Conference Allstar team. Although A.I. and Shaq are way past their prime, it would be cool to see.

Don't think they can afford Shaq. The bulls should bring in Shaq, that would be a hell of a front line, Noah, Boozer, Shaq coming in off the bench, Deng.

scottie pippen he's a great player but what does the public say about him?

lebron didn't have a bad team for the past few years, if having jamison a former all star, a good but not great player, varejao a great hustler player and mo williams, an old shaq is bad then what will you call the team that kobe played with in 05-07? only lamar is good but inconsistent and the rest is shit
Being a former great player doesn't make MJ that more qualified to answer on the topic. I was young when he was at his most prominent, but I've heard him speak enough since to know he's not that bright.

LeBron said he didn't decide his team until the morning of his announcement. This would match Wilbon's assertion on PTI that he's found LeBron indecisive in talks with him. Otherwise, because of the gravity of LeBron's decision, I don't mind him bringing a little more drama to the event.

Mmmm to me, Scottie Pippen has only seemed underrated relative to MJ, based on comments I've heard and read. I mean, what comparable player has won less and gotten more rep than him?

Odds makers apparently think Cleveland's remnants are below average, considering their championship odds. Without Kobe, the Lakers are at least one of the better teams, if not pretty good.

I forgot to mention that two of the past three years I've paid attention to 82games.com, LeBron had an appreciably better +/-, especially relative to his teammates (important because good players usually play together an inordinate amount of time). There's also Bryant's crappy "clutch" shooting (info also at 82games.com).

In conclusion, the most objective measures of skill I'm aware of, pointed out in this thread, that can be used to assess NBA player skill suggest that LeBron's better than Kobe. Don't feel you have to argue with me out of pride, please, but if you insist on arguing this topic, do so in the following thread, including answering the question within: http://forum.sbrforum.com/nba-basket...ndividual.html

how about the rest of the NBA who still thinks that kobe is the best player in the NBA?

do you honestly believe that lebron decided on thursday morning?

have you ever heard of karl malone? john stockton? those guys got more recognition than scottie pippen, but in fact scottie pippen is right up there with them but when it's about the bulls only michael is being talked about

you want to talk about those missed shots of kobe at the end of the game? can you show me those footage? i know he misses buzzer beaters like every other superstar does

how about talking about the skill of kobe and lebron? what aspect of lebron's game is a lot better than kobe, sure kobe may not be the athlete that lebron is, but does lebron have the same kind of move kobe has? great midrange game, better 3 point game, better post moves, lebron has his edge with his athleticism but his moves are done with FORCE, his dunks are usually done with pure power

I hear Ewing, Barkley. Stockton and Malone are available as well, this is getting stupid already, it is showing the LeBron may never be able to win on his own, it is like joining the Superfriends.

He should just retire. The guy has lost a few steps, his shooting touch and has no value to any team.

I guarantee the Heat do not win the championship next year. While I like the idea of the three stars together, the supporting cast they eventually end up with won't be enough to supplant Boston. They have key pieces in place, but every team in the NBA will be thinking 'collusion' when Miami comes to town and give them all they have. Lets not forget, NBA players play at 80% for the majority of the season--it is what it is. Miami gets 110% from their opponents every game next year. Good luck with that South Beach.

I don't think going after former superstars is a good way to build around the trio. They need role players who know how to be role players.

When he signed with Philly last year, I think most people thought it was the only place he'd still fit in. He coudn't even make that work.. As far as being a cancer in the locker room, AI usually always had the respect of his teammates, although his last stop in Philly suggested otherwise..With that being said, if King Lebron wants him there, he will be there. I would be very surprised if that were the case though.
