I am a white man, but if I was starting a new franchise tommorow I would be looking for black athletes and not trying to find any white blue chippers. I would also be looking for a white coach that I though fit my values and had the leadership and mental aptitude to be a winner for me.

What is so racist here? Why do people get so offended over this? It is facts. How long have you been alive? Have you learned anything in your short existence on Earth?

BTW, I am not racist. I have no hatred towards another race. Some of my best friends growing up playing ball were blacks. I know black people well and I know they are not coaches by rule... Ocassionally, there are exceptions to the rule. I think Tony Dungy was one of the greates coaches of all time black or white or otherwise he was a winner and had special leadership qualitiesd.
So any player (white) or coach (black) that meets your other requirements (fit your values, leadership, mental aptitude) wouldnt even be considered? My guess is that you would miss out on many good candidates.. By the way, have you checked the defenition of a racist?

To bad Steve Nash couldn't play for your team and you wouldn't draft Toby Gerhart.

I don't accept racism, sexism, agism, or discrimination of any kind. I accept that the world is diverse, and the only ay to make it far is to be open-minded. Your comments are your opinions, and or neither universally considered true or accepted as such. Growth is stimulated by diverse outlooks on subjects, not rigid perceptions on the world we live in. Just continue to use this forum to release your feelings about minorities, and their position in your world. Since you are a owner of a business, you would not won't others to know that you have these types of feelings toward minorities. Bad for business.

I'm glad the poeple makin these comments are not in authoritative positions. As minorities looking for opportunites would be subject to discrimination.

But at least the internet allows people the means to express their feeling. Though without putting a face behind the words. I'm sure you guys sit and actl ike you like someone like Paco, but he is a man of color, and would not be looked at as an equal. Though I'm sure you fellas would think of some kind of qualifier that would allow his acceptance into your world, that is ruined by others of color.

Needless to say I am very disappointed

I am just as brown as Paco. I call it like i see it- 90% of black coaches are useless. I am not racist- i have folks of all different colors working for me and i am fine for that. I dont hire or judge folks on skin color but its quite obvious that blacks for the MOST part dont make good coaches. That being said lots of whites dont make good coaches as well but i am tired of watching how these leagues hire these guys(blacks) just cause they are supposed to make it fair. ITs funny how you have to hire them but for players you pick who is the best. Look at the nfl for years people have been bitching about the lack of black head coaches and then the league fell to the pressure and made teams hire black coaches just for the sake of it. Here is a list of NBA black coaches.

I dont see much success there.

so is the reason they're not good is because they're black?

think about the number of white coaches throughout the history of the game, and the percentage of "successful" coaches will be small. just like the small number of successful black coaches.

Folks, it is what it is. If you want to bash me, call me racist or whatever. Be my guest. This is PC world now were it is wrong to say anything that is not deemed acceptable. My goal was not to be a racist, but rather look at something I have seen over many years. I have been following sports before many of you reading and bitching here were even alive. I think I am qualified to make these judgements. Most of you here are warped and are wired wrong that is one of the many reason's you are losers at gambling. If you cannot accept the way things really are that's your problem. You PC police have no problem recognizing the black man as a far superior athlete to the white man. None whatsoever, but if we reverse it here and say the white man as a group makes a better coach all hell breaks loose here.

Let's examine another truth... The white man makes a far superior quarterback in the NFL. How many black quarterbacks have won a NFL championship?? I see blacks dominating college football over the years and when they get to the NFL they look like a monkey trying to fukk a football.. Why is that? The NFL game is far more complex than the college game that requires a higher level of I.Q. and leadership skills under fire and natural talent alone will not carry the day like it does in college. Are we going to get mad about this too? It is the truth people. Why is the truth so bad? The black man dominates almost all other posistions in the NFL, but quarterback. That is fine to say, but when we analyze the success of black quarterbacks it will become a problem with many of you.

Not everything is racist. I don't preclude a person because of there race in the business world or as friends. We are all different and have different talents. When you people are offended or don't want to accept the truth you cry racist. That is so easy to do when the fact of all this has nothing to do with being a racist. Since we don't want to accept things for what they are it is easy to say.. You are a racist. Well, that's fine. I have no problem recognizing were the black man is superior to the white man, but you people have a problem admitting were the white man is superior to the black man.

So I ask this...Who is the real racist? Some of you need to grow up and quit whinning like little children. Learn to accept things for what they are and move on rather than to deny and call a foul when none exist here.

I am not here to argue trivial points with everyone. I made my point and its factful. How many black coaches have been successful at winning titles in sports? I bet the % is lower relevant to there experience than it is to white coaches and there experience. IF you want i can give you the data and then we can put this debate to rest.

Steve Nash is a gimmick player Houli and if you knew anything about basketball you would know they changed the rules for him to compete in the NBA. Steve Nash was nothing until they did away with hand checks and such. He is a gimmick. He would be useless under the old rules because the games was so physical, but nobody is allowed to touch Nash now. How long have you been watching the NBA??

Toby Gerhart Are you serious? Your right I wouldn't draft him. There are black men on the streets that would make a better RB than him. You for real have lost it now. White running back in the NFL is a novelty idea. He won't make it. He probably won't have 15 carries next season. He will be hurt in the NFL. Had he played in the SEC a grown man's style of college football he wouldn't have been very successful at all. The PAC-10 is the worst college football amongst BCS schools last year. If you watched the speed and size of the SEC game and then turned it on to a PAC-10 game you could see the difference was huge. It was a joke they left USC in the top 25. USC couldn't have beat the cellar dweller of the SEC.

I am sorry you made this something other than the real points here. I don't consider myself racist. I have no problems with any person of color or any other nationally. I just call things for what they are.I am a realist, but if it makes you feel better calling me a racist than more power to you.

Below, is how the league helped NASH. A very average PG until they fixed the rules that made him a star. Before this he was just an average PG.

Jeezes, I'm starting to belive you are just kidding, and your only goal is to provoke reactions... Either that, or you are just very careless/ignorant (?) with your choice of words. To some small extent I could see the original meaning of all of this, based on stats etc, but your way of argumentation reveals other underlying intentions. If you had just kept to general valid facts, the case might have been different, but this is in my opinion way over the line. Anyways you are entitled to have your own opinions and thoughts, just never think they are the same as the vaste majority of the world.

Well, thank you for your observations. I will have you know that I am not careless or ignorant..thank you. I am a college graduate that owns his business and has an I.Q. over 130. I guess because I did not grow up in the PC world like you I am considered "harsh" or over the top. I have no underlying intentions as you suggested. There was a debate here and I came and gave the logical/correct viewpoints on it.

I also can appreciate that your point of emphasis here was my opinions/facts were not shared by the world. I can understand that and I don't wish to change to fit the world. Most people in the world are lemons. Most people don't have what I have and are not good at anything. So why would I want to conform to the "world". The world is full of lemons just like the 96% of degenerats in this forum is losers as well. What is so hard to see about this. Why do you think I am trying to provoke anything? What good would it do anyhow. I can't change that most people are inherently losers/lemons. You wish for things to be sugar coated. Why waste the time. Call it like you see it. Most people are wired wrong. I never intended for this to be a racially charged debate and be called things such as a racist. That was not the goal. I was simply stating a fact. I gave credit were it was due to the black man and I also recognized there shortcomings as well. I did the same example for the white man as well. Mentioning, the white mans shortcomings are ok, but doing it with a black man is taboo.

For the last time. I am not a racist. You people made this something else.

Ok, I will rephrase myself since you only compare youself with the elite of mankind; just never think they are the same as the majority of the 2 % of people in the world with IQ over 130. My guess is that Mensa uses the same defenitions and moral standards as the majority of the last 98 %. Since you brought your intelligence up, do you also have an equal amount of EQ? If thats the case I guess you know that the "logical/correct veiwpoints", as you stated it, are missing something. I'm not trying to disrespect you, but I call your statements and meanings into serious question.

This discussion will not lead to anything good so I rest my case now, but I stand by every word I have said. I know I will read your reply tomorrow.
