first of all i'm not criticizing your handicapping ability. i think it's top notch. in fact, i tail you from time to time. but public betting percentages does not equal money bet.

if 80% of the public is on one side that doesn't equate to 80% of the money. if i'm wrong, please show me why? there is no site that i know of on the internet that tells you the amount of money bet--only percentage of bets.

this statement is probably true, but it does not mean that the books have taken a beating. like i said before they could very well have balanced action even with a lopsided public percentage.

i don't know if they make them up, but if you check all of the different sites that provide data like percentage of bets many of them disagree. in fact, on occasion, one site will have one team the favorite and another site will have the opposite. this could be due to the fact that different sites use a different group of sports books for their calculations.

I have a strong lean to the Hawks +9.5 today. Vegas has been getting their a55es handed to them losing 3 straight game spread and total losers to the public. Tonight the Magic is the biggest public play of all since those 3 games at 80%. I think a lot of people are giving Vegas zero credit for knowing anything about the NBA.
