Ya I strictly bet on ACC hoops, Hurricanes are my specialty obviously. I rarely miss a Heat game so I know this team just as well as UM.

Yes I post at his forum daily as well, we actually have a challenge thread going on over there with me/tex vs CK/wang. He wanted to repay the members for the average NCAA tourney plays he's put out and that no limit PC play. Him and Wang started off 4-0 so he did reimburse a bit.

I am taking a look at the Orl/SA game and I don't think I can layoff. I like fading teams coming off a national TV win and Orlando is playing on back to back as well. Orlando is a much better home team than road team and I think it will be tough for them to beat two GREAT teams in two nights. Orlando crushed SA just two weeks ago so I think SA will come out pumped for this game. The line movement looks promising also with 50% on both sides and the line going from -2.5 to -3.5. It now sits at -3 most places. Four of the most respected cappers I know are all on SA also. I am going to go ahead and roll with it.

Anyway, I like your pick added your pulse on heat games and my pulse on pacer games, game looks like a solid pick. Im sure you will be working for CK in no time
Thanks for being the voice of reason in a place where jinx threads, reverse jinxes, and lock emoticons are plenty.

A note on the game everyone should be very, very aware of. I will more than likely make a play on the 2H.
Heat are 6-27 if trailing at halftime.
Heat are 2-15 on the road if trailing at halftime on the road.
Heat are 35-6 if leading at halftime.
Heat are 17-3 if leading at halftime on the road.

I am taking a look at the 1st quarter lines right now, LAL and Cleveland actually have very low 1q lines at home which are usually good plays.

Cleveland's best quarter is the 1st quarter point differential wise. They are 49-22 in the 1st quarter and average 28.2 and only allow 25.1 (3.1 pt diff). Atlanta's worst quarter SU is the 1st quarter, they are 39-29 in the 1st this year only averaging 25.1 and allowing 24.4 (a 0.7 point diff). Cleveland lost their last 1st quarter at home to the Bucks. They rarely lose the 1st quarter at home twice in a row.
Cleveland has not lost two 1st quarters in a row SU at home all year.

Heat want this game for playoff seating. Indiana is 0-16 when Granger scores under 21.
Heat are superior defensively in blocks, steals and rebounds.
In the end I see a much more savvy Heat team winning this game on defensive play.
My thoughts too.

JERMAINE ONEAL OUT
- that explains the line movement
O'Neal out Fri., possibly Sat. also: According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Heat C Jermaine O'Neal (knee) will not play again on Friday night against the Pacers. He is also likely to sit out Saturday's game in Minnesota.

I have more riding on the Clev 1st quarter than Indy and SA combined. It will be a positive night if they win regardless of the outcomes in Indy/SA. If Clev loses and Indy/SA both win I will lose a small loss for the night.

I saw this coming and this is good news. Pacers are very weak inside but the Heat won't have any inside presence whatsoever on offense or defense. There will be zero shot blocking ability from the Heat tonight.

How heavy are you playing Indy, SJ?
I like them here but I've decided I can't play big any teams who with nothing to play for. Likely 1 unit.

I am not playing them heavy, I label my plays light, big, heavy or just no label which means just an average amount on it like this Pacers play. I know I should post units but I had already compiled over 100 plays this season without posting unit amounts with them. Next year I will post units along with each play. To give you an idea I probably have a 1-5 unit size amount, I have 5 on Cavs, 2 on Spurs, 2 on Pacers.

I may be jumping on the Lakers -1.5 1st quarter. The LAL are a top 3 1st quarter team. They have dropped their last 4 quarters and I don't see them dropping 5 in a row. The Jazz worst quarter is the 1st quarter by far. This is a very big game for LAL and I think some home cookin will do them well.

I hear everybody talking about the stifling Heat defense. All of you guys need to look at the teams they are playing. Let's take a look at what each team ranks offensively that the Heat has played in the last ten games.
1. DET- 29th (2nd to last)
2. MIL- 22nd (played them without Bogut that day so they probably would be closer to like 25th that night)
3/4. CHI TWICE- 23rd
5. NJ- 30th
6. Charlotte- 28th
7. Phi- 24th
8. Orl- AHA a good offensive team, they gave up 108 this game and lost at home.
9. Toronto- 5th (Heat did hold them down but Toronto Covered +7 easily losing by 3)
10. SA- 14th (a decent offensive team, end result: SA win by 12)
