Play of the day mia @ indy
The Heat visit Indiana today. The early line just came out and it is Indy -2. This line tells me everything I need to know. They have gotten smacked around three times this year by the Heat and are still offered the same exact line that was offered in October when the Heat played @ Indy. Pacers is the play today.

My Heat have done well on the road lately but they have been playing horrible teams their last 4 games. NJ, CHI, MIL (no Bogut) and Detroit. This is the night they slip up, they are due for a loss. Prior to beating those 4 bad road teams the Heat were 15-18 on the road, they are not a good road team.

Pacers have really caught their stride late in the season, especially at home. All the players know their roles and they are all playing loose. You usually don't want to bet against a team out of the playoff picture but young teams are still good bets late in the year. They play with a lot of pride and still want to patent their stats.

The home team is 7-1 ATS last 8 in this series and Indiana has been on absolute fire at home, 8-1-1 ATS last ten games.

    Pacers PK LOCKED

I am on the other side. Love the Heat here. They have consistently held the Pacers to under 90 points since January 2009 and Granger only had 15 points last game vs Heat, shooting 22%.
Heat want this game for playoff seating. Indiana is 0-16 when Granger scores under 21.
Heat are superior defensively in blocks, steals and rebounds.
In the end I see a much more savvy Heat team winning this game on defensive play.

No it did not. I don't see where you are seeing this. It opened at -2 everywhere and is now -1.5 everywhere.

Granger scored 21+ in every single home game in February and March. You can throw that stat out the window tonight.

Did anyone actually see Pinny at -2? I have never seen an NBA line offered 4 points differently from one site to another all year long. I think that was a mistake.

This would be a HUGEEEE RLM and would still support my play all the way.

Pretty tough game to call. How much want Miami to get before Bucks?

It's probably a stay away game.

Good point and the Heat have won 6 in a row.. Don't know how much thought they are giving it, but if they win tonite they can run the table the final 6 games of the regular season as they have nothing, but losing teams ahead on the schedule and solidify the #5 seed in the East most likely opening with Boston in the 1R of the playoffs.

However, Indy has been playing there best basketball of the season lately and have been good at home but they haven't been doing against a defense like Miami has been playing.. Be interesting to see how this game develops and Miami has owned the Pacers.

Be interesting to see how this game develops and Miami has owned the Pacers.

gotta go heat on this one. Pacers are playing well but Heat are actually playing for something. This little stretch by the Pacers is fools gold and the Heat defense will control the game.

As Jared Wade of TrueHoop Network site Eight Points, Nine Seconds notes today, on March 15, the Pacers were 21-45 and primed for a top-six pick in this summer's draft.
But since then, the team has gone on a nice little run -- winning seven out of their last 10.
"The Pacers ... have vaulted up the standings to become the NBA's 21st-best team, which, if the season ended today, would give them an almost 90 percent chance of getting only the 10th pick in the draft," writes Wade.
Which begs the question: Should the Pacers be playing with such vigor this late in the season when it's hurting their draft-pick status?
ESPN's Chad Ford doesn't think so:

                                                            Chad Ford

                                                            Pacers should be tanking
"If tanking now gives me the chance to win more games next year, of course you do it. And I think the fans understand. What do you think Pacers fans want? Another three or four meaningless wins in late March/April or John Wall or Evan Turner?
