OOOOOH ok, now the Lakers bias just pours out. You quote my post and go in a completely different tangent about how the Celtics weren't deserving of that Finals win. Despite the "depleted" Lakers they were still favored entering the series. I mean why does KG have to be your scapegoat when the reality is you just hate the Celtics.

I'm glad that video was posted. What was the username, Lakers Playoffs? You mean some hand checking and 3 second calls went unenforced??? That is shocking! Why do you have all these gripes, you guys are the defending champions.

yeah didn't you just mention they won the finals that year? yeah they're favored that year because they cruised through the western conference and the celtics has to go through 2 game 7 in the 1st 2 rounds that year, i think it is a factor for them to be overlooked that year and make them the underdogs that year, the lakers have kobe, a newly acquired gasol and odom and who else? they have more liabilities than positives that year, celtics had the stronger team that year, KG,PP in their prime and ray allen a little past his prime that time, they have a good defender in james posey and 2 veterans that has playoffs experience plus they have zebras too watch the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nepmd2ygMK4
i really don't hate the celtics before until KG got traded there, he was not that cocky before he won a ring, he was not that of a punk when he was with the wolves

You are looking at a 10 minute video clip to make an argument on a 6 game series. There is nothing wrong with zone defense first off and 3 second calls go overlooked all the time. If this is your basis for why the Celtics won the series, then I won't argue with you because your evidence is flawed. How many times does Kobe get bailed out and put to the line?

then how many cheap shots did the celtics make before kobe getting a foul to bail him out? and how many times did gasol and odumb screw up the play by going up too soft? they weren't any serious help for kobe in that series, odom and gasol got pushed around and played soft for almost the whole series, kobe has to carry the load both on offense and defense, i made that video for you to watch how many defense kobe has to face before making a shot

i thought when he got traded to boston he was washed up but now im convinced he just there trying to win another ring but it wont happen.they have too many high priced,big name players who have little or no skills left trying to win by smoke and mirrors and i think those days are over,i think rondo should get out of there when he can cause besides him.they have nothing else on the team

Yes the C's had a bad start in the 3rd, but at least 10 points differential was directly the result of the JOKE BIASED officiating.

watch Friday night when KG gets back at that Brandon Jennings little boy who was taunting him on his way out last month at Milwaukee. Boston is a big pick Friday night to toast Milwaukee.

I will also say KG's contribution is not about points. It's also about defense and leadership.

Boston will be a lot better than people think come the playoffs.

those teams look like a scrub because shaq is too dominant against those weakling centers, the shaq-kobe tandem looked too dominant that's why those look like scrubs, how did orlando not deserve to be in the finals last yr they just beat the cavs without the help of the zebras

Haven't read the whole thread, but commenting on the title alone you are exactly right. KG was one of the all time greats but he is old. I will not be betting on the Celtics too many times in the playoffs.

And a side not, the Lakers are right behind the Celtics in this category. Not this year, but they will run out of gas in 2011.

2011 is too early, kobe is only 33 by then gasol is 31,odom 32,artest 32, bynum 24 i think that team can still compete for a championship, it's not yet too old only fisher would be really old by that time

Compared to what he was in minnesota there is no argueing with the fact that KG is a shell of his former self. Its what age and playing a lot of minutes in the nba does to you.

Boston playing great ball right now. These Veterans still got something left in the tank, and you'll see them make a run in the playoffs. KG just needs to get his legs back. He isn't the player he once was, but he doesn't need to be. Ray Allen and Pierce can both haverage 22 plus points if they went to a team where they were solely the main player. If KG can get stronger before playoff time, Bost may be in the Eastern Conf. Finals.

Arguably, Pierce and Ray Allen were still in their primes. Allen was averaging like 27 the year before he came to Boston I think, the highest of his career. Pierce was in the league leaders as always. KG, on the other hand passed his prime. KG's prime was back when he took Minn to the finals, and year he won MVP. KG's prime passed back in '04 or '05. Remember, he came from high school, so even though he's the same age as Pierce, he's logged a lot more miles in the NBA.

KG is not washed up. It takes awhile to rebound from Knee surgery. That's like saying Tmac is a washed up player, when he's averaging around 12 5 and 5 in like 25 minutes of play and he's not even completely healthy. It took Amare awhile to come back from his Knee surgery, but look at him now. Playing better than any PF in the league.

No doubt Tmac won't get it all back, to the form when he led the league in scoring for two years, and was perhaps the only player you could put in the same category as Bryant. But he's definitely not washed up. KG is not washed up either. Just needs time fellas, that's all.
