I bet the Orlando ML late. I was referring to the people who were all guaranteed a Laker win. Tons of people were on Lakers ML and I tried to tell them about how the Magic can match up with the Lakers...but they decided not to listen.

You mean the refs assisted LAL as best they could to help them cover. The alley-oop was waived off, Fisher didn't get a technical, no foul called on Gasol at the end, etc.

Anyways, anyone on the Magic should have known to buy the hook in this game.

Dude the game was over with like 3 minutes left. Admit it, the refs saved your ass and Kobe hit some huuuuuge (and somewhat lucky) shots to even keep you close. Don't be mad because I called it and I was right.

this was the worst reffed game ive seen in a while but the calls went both ways

like how the hell was barnes not called for the body check he put on fisher? also that "fake throw the ball in kobe's face" is called an unsportsmanlike technical foul at any level...if this isnt a nat'l TV game he probably gets kicked out

we could go on back and forth with this...fact is that this was a brutally officiated game and while the Lakers may have gotten an extra call or 2, the refs didnt give an UNQUESTIONED advantage to any team....refs couldnt have stopped kobe beasting it at the end

Man if you don't realize how much the calls went in favor of LA today I don't know what to tell you. Kobe and Artest got away with murder on the defensive end, the waived off alleyoop was absurd, the no techs on Kobe and Fisher were absurd, etc, etc.

Lakers got bailed out here, plain and simple. Orlando was the play and as long as you were smart and bought the hook you at least live to bet another day.

i do agree that LAL got favourable calls but its not like ORL didnt get any either

refs couldnt have stopped kobe from making the shots, nor could they have stopped VC from missing the FT so saying that the refs bailed out LA isnt fair IMO

if the refs bailed out LA, how do you explain LA not shooting a single FT the last 5:09 of the game?

Had ORL -2. Im OK to push as long as most of you won on LA +2.5. Bit shitty that Vence missed that freethrow. Anyway. On to DET/HOU. Think Detroit take this one without Stuckey. Houston played it tough yesterday and coming off a short turnaround. Also like the under 198. GL all.

Very easily, the Lakers didn't attack the rim. The entire offense was fadeaways from Kobe.

I have to agree with Williams22 here. For lakers backers, go away and take your win, you got a lucky break this match! While Orlando backers can only blame Orlando's inability to shoot free throws in the crucial time ( Nelson, VC, Howard ).

That's a fair opinion, I did not bet anything on this game. Planned to take Lakers+2.5 myself but for some reasons, I was not able too.

Very true. Kobe kept making jumpshots in the last 5 minutes or so. How could you expect them to get to the free throw lines when they are playing like this?

Sorry Mac I never said anything about it after the fact. I was arguing with a couple Laker fans that I thought the Magic had a better chance to win this morning BEFORE the game. I don't think ORL -2.5 was a stupid bet at all- it was just unlucky. I just wouldve taken (and did take) the ORL ML or at the very least bought the hook to be safe. That's just how I roll though, I know some people are against buying points. To each his own...

Calls went both ways my ass. The NBA has turned into the WWE. You know they don't give a fuk about cheating when they do it on a Sunday afternoon on the only game showing.
