question for NBA forum guys?

Lyon I was exaggerating of course I don't expect to hit those numbers over a long period of time, sports are just too unpredictable at times to maintain a percentage that high. It was just for arguments sake. My main goals are to be right around 55-57% with solid money management with is a lot harder than I anticipated, I seem to be my own worst enemy at times.

I personally commend anybody that takes the time to keep up a thread. I am one of those that don't have the "balls" or patience for it. It is work to do so day in and day out and when you hit a rough patch and we all do will have to fend off trolls. I hate internet tough people it gets my blood pressure up and I can't do anything about it to rectify the situation. For all those that keep up a thread rather you have made money this year or have lost money my hats off to you. I have opinions on many games everyday and bet accordingly, but will mostl likely never go through with a thread. I sometimes go into other threads and compliment there picks or voice my opinion about them, but I try to be objective and cordial towards the poster that is taking a stand and at least posting there picks for the world to see. It's tough for me to do that. I like chatting daily here with other posters about games and it helps me shape my opinions sometimes.

No biggie man! Don't beat yourself up over it. If it was easy everybody would be doing it. It's hard work. I have made several worthwhile achievements and my life and it's the toughest thing I have come across. My only advice is don't give up and learn from your loses as much as possible.

shoe - i saw you get into a minor spat with lyons last week....as i and jaymac did a while back.

i can honestly say from reading his posts that he is one of the sharper guys on here.....when i read his analysis on the wolves over at atl the other night, i truly felt that my sqaure hawks play was doomed

Lyon nailed it and my square hawks play went down in flames too, the favs were 9-2 that night and yes I was one of the idiots on the fav(ATL) that didnt cover. Were cool just a misunderstanding

I have a thread. Only been going for just over a week. Lost my first 6 picks in a row and could easily have stopped posting but decided to stick at it and things have turned around nicely (now 6W 8L).

People that do keep track normally are dedicated organized and have lots of time on their hands.
If I ever did a thread it would have to include everything I bet on USA hockey today made me 10 units so far.
It would be way too much work to make seperate threads IMO.
Just because someone doesn't make a thread and keeps up on it daily does not mean they are not good and I would think most that are good wouldn't even bother you are an exception LB

I do things different for example I have over 20 pars open right now all with USA hockey today because I didn't think it was possible for them to lose and they didn't so it's going to be a great day.

what i love is guys who make a thread.....lose in the beginning...disappear and reappear under a ghost acct. happens a lot.

who cares if you lose....should be more worried about your bankacct that what some guys in cyberspace think about you.

Shoe, and I are cool Dex. I was impersonating that Durr character in his thread and shoe thought I was being some arrogant fool. I explained to shoe what I was doing and it was fine.

I apologize again for the comment made in your NFL thread awhile back. To be honest with you Dexter I said that because I was intoxicated that day and on a high from winning and had not particularly had a good experience with jaymac prior to that. That BS comment I said had nothing to do with you, but was directed towards him.

Being intoxicated is no excuse, but my wife was out of town and I was drinking like i was in college again. Sometimes we say things we shouldn't when we are drinking and that was the case with me that day.

I do respect you Dexter and glad we have moved on since then into a more cordial relationship.

but in all honesty - its just a handful of guys that talk shit, and obviously its just to create cyberspace drama. there is no hiding the fact that you're one of the best nba guys here.....

dont let it distract you, and if someone is way out of line just hit the report button.....the mods may not be all over every post, but if you report something they do act.

Just a question lb, would you prefer average guys like me make their own threads for our plays? I don't go by any system, never been a pure "tail" guy, I usually go with my gut feel after hours of studying the games for the day, and only go to other threads to gauge my picks, and I hate this feeling when others lose on my picks.

Hope you'll respond to my query...

You arent average. Your human like the rest. This thread was intended for the idiots that go into peoples threads and talk smack and never post picks or keep records. They sometimes try to but when they get buried they create ghost accounts .

I consider myself fairly new here and have stated my purpose for staying. I want to learn from my mistakes, not repeat them... and when at all possible, not make those mistakes in the first place. I appreciate you guys like crazy for all the help and whatnot.....
