When losses come, as they inevitably do in this game, I'm always thankful when it's not for much. So it's back to the drawing board for me tomorrow, the priority being to start a new win streak.
Hope everyone had a better night than I did!
Note: The Blazers are something else. They have been a bit pricey lately, but a team that never quits is not one to fade.
The Uta/Mil game hurt today's result more than any other. The score was tied with about 30 secs to go. My bet on Uta (+1) surely stood a chance, and Uta-1' 2nd-half looked like money in the bank. Both bets lost when the Bucks scored 8 pts in 30 secs on suspicious officiating. Shady stuff like that happens in this game, and too bad for me, I was on the wrong side of it. Lost 7.92 units on that, a turn- around of 15.12! ...
Then the Por/Sac total gets backdoored and goes over by 1/2 pt! Had this bet gone in my favor, the day would still have been a good and profitable one even with the Uta/Mil debacle.
So it's on to Saturday's card, with my books having won the last two days. I'm still considerably ahead for the week even with bad beats again outnumbering close wins by a wide margin (not even one of my wins today was close). I'll take that as a positive and will do my best to stop the books' win streak at two.
Wiz are 2-0 against the Magic in their season series, with their last victory snapping the latter's 4-gm win streak. Similar scenario here as the Magic are currently on a 7-gm win streak. The Magic have shown no mercy to weaker teams lately and are on notice here that the Wiz are not to be taken lightly. Doubt if the Wiz can keep this close; they've been struggling offensively and are on their 3rd game in 3 nights. That makes Orly the play. Just be cautious of the fact that the books have pumped this line 3-4 pts to compensate for the circumstances.

Atl-7 1stH = 1.2x
I like this bet for essentially the same reasons as the preceding. Atl is in revenge mode in this spot, and the timing of this game favors them since Det played LN. Just a small play, however, as the Hawks' defensive intensity has regressed from earlier form. That said, I don't think Detroit's nothing-in-the-post offense can take full advantage, and their 'D' is even more lacking that Atl's. Detroit will certainly be in trouble should they have one of their scoring droughts.
