i am telling you don't take the team if they did not play the last game at home before they hit the road, i found a few losses in recent seasons, not worth it.

you are not understanding. teams typically go on a road trip after they have played the last game at home; then they go...3 game, 4 game, 5 game trip etc. the spurs did not in this last scenario. they not only played the previous game on the road, but this series (vs opp conf) started after the all-star break. my point is, and this series could of won yes, make sure a team is in a flow or normalcy before betting on them. i am a huge believer in schedule and other factors as much as anything else. so many people look at a game and see a spread and say ok the line is 3 points off. that means next to nothing, it is just a number. motivation, scheduling, chemistry, rhythm, etc are more important...you are betting on humans not machines.

Thanks for your response. This series did start (before the break) after SA played their last game at home. Then they started their road trip. The problem arises with the All Star break coming in the middle of the series which probably should have made it a "no play" from the start. Good info though, and would agree with you on the other factors that need to be considered. Thanks again

the opposite conference series (what this is ALL about) DID NOT start after a home game, please check your schedule. the first game was at the kings. yes i agree you cannot get involved with a series starting in between the break.

only thing is since the opp conf was after the break the Spurs would have been home resting except for players in all star game.....boston was similar...had rd game b4 brk then rd games after brk and covered in 2nd game after break...just for info

Phil played Chi then off 2 days before west conf swing, so technically not opp conf and Port first 3 are opp conf which is far as it goes on chase, last 2 games are same conf....will leave it up to each person to decide how they want to play it
