unreal man he had a triple double and played the whole 2nd half. This game was not lost because of kobe no matter how you spin it, the lakers were bricking WIDE OPEN shots against that zone.

Kobe didn't lose this game, Phil did. I'm just saying that Kobe's 2nd half play was far from exceptional. There were plenty of holes in the zone he could have attacked and gotten his own or found Gasol and Odom underneath. Instead he opted to passively move the ball around the perimeter for most of the 3rd and the beginning of the 4th. Gasol had his way down low, they could have gone to him all night. Kobe also could have pulled up on Nash any time he chose. Strange, strange offense by the Lakers from the second quarter on.

I'm talking about the Lakers, Kobe, Phil, etc. here, not the Cavs. They have plenty of time to sit and think about what they did.

After all this talk about Kobe's killer instinct I thought he disappeared in the second half tonight. He became passive, not only from the perspective of not shooting, but he wasn't creating for others. The zone was meant to throw him off offensively and was heavily shaded towards him on every touch. He should have used that to his advantage to set up Odom and Gasol for easy lay-ins down low (he actually had a beautiful one to Gasol, then we never saw it again). I can't recall ever seeing Kobe seem so confused by a defense, and what's even more baffling is it was a very poor zone.

Because he kept looking up at the scorboard for the stats and then right when he got that pass to parker in the corner for three with like 2 minutes to go he got his 10th assists and a tripple double. Then he started just shooting after that.

He said: "fukk it, I gotta tripple double, they can't blame me for the loss. At least it'll look good in the stat books"
