Hey Simon.

I think you read the SA line wrong bro. The line opened at -3.5 and stayed there all week then fell to -3 by game time with the public all over the spurs. As I am starting to understand lines and movement, if the situation was on the up and up, the line should have gone to -4 or -5 as the week progressed. Since the line stayed the same and then went from -3.5 to -3 tells me that the sharps were on the underdog from get go. Vegas was trying to get the public on the spurs by holding the line and dropping it 1/2 point before game time. Now I am far from being a veteran line reader, but started reading since LB made the statement about letting the books do the work and understanding line movement. I can say this....it takes the guess work out. My days of trying to analyze trends are long gone. I am gonna focus all my energy on understanding these lines and making more consistent cash

If I am wrong, please school me people. But I think I am starting to understand the who, what, where, when and why of line and reverse line movement.

Where did you get these numbers? The spurs opened at -1 on everything I saw. Also NBA lines are not available all week.....

evidently my source was wrong. is there a reliable source to track lines from opening to close? didnt even occur to me that posted lines could be wrong or more likely intentionally wrong to mislead the public.

What is your source? Sbrodds.com has line history for quite a few books....

Made a big play tonight Teased Lakers down to -2.5 and over 197 @ even money. Biggest bet I have made in a while. Come on keep scoring! I had the game going 207 but I have been off by about 5 on a lot of my games.

backdoor cover with lakers can ALWAYS happen...but i doubt it. i took dallas for the game, and i think thats toast, but i do think mavs will cover -3 2h
