I think I've been doing well with the 5-team 12 point teasers. When I was playing the spreads there were too many instances where the team failed to cover by a basket or two. Buying the 12 points makes me more confortable.

Went 1-4 damaged -10 units. Went from positive to 4 or 5 units negative. Time to walk slowly again, so I don't have to pay to my local next Tuesday, LOL.
Big lesson learn from the Bulls yesterday for me, STUBBORN. All my research point to Bulls is a very dangerous play, but my mind keep thinking Bull gotta win sometime, and this is must be a time. I ignored all of my study for that game, and went big on something I just hope for the best. Well, no more.

Congrats on your parlay win last nite.....that's must feel great.
I got one last week with 8 teams.
But keep in mind, if you start keep tracking them, you will lose in the long run.
I have a friend (I told this story before in MLB forum last summer) once hit a nice parlay $500 for more than 9k, and he did it twice in a week. So he got hook into it, then all he playing was parlays. Come to the point, he rack it up to 15-16 teams for a winning amount close to $500k. I have access to his account so I see what he playing daily. Most of the parlays he risking from $500 to $2500....I mean RISKING. In little more than 2 months, he went bankrupted, down almost $60k.
One or two per day/few days as lottery ticket is fun....not a main source to building bankroll, IMO.

Yea that happens to a lot of people, they win a big one or two and then they believe it's easy money and start risking more and that's where the problem begins. Once they lose a big one they immediately try to win it back, and it just goes downhill from there.

Is your friend making any progress on making that money back?

Yup. A tough loss for the Bulls. I was watching the game though and you could just tell how tired they were by half time. Salmons/Deng were having a really hard time, with every shot seemingly falling short. But today is another day with some excellent options.

My teaser for tonight:
Risking $20 to win $16

1. Rockets +10***** a good offensive team vs one of the worst defenders in the league. The Rockets are in the top 10 of the best defenders in the road allowing just 98.1 points. The Raptor's Jose Calderon will not play tonight due to a hip injury, he contributed 12.1 ppg in November.

2. Hawks -0.5 ********** One of the top 5 offensive teams at home versus the second worst offensive team on the road in the league. If I were to make just one play tonight it would be on the Hawks winning this game. To make it even worse for the Nets, two of their two three scorers (Devin Harris and Chris Douglas-Roberts) are probable tonight and even if they do play they won't be playing 100%

3. Heat +5.5 *** are one of the top 10 defenders at home allowing just 94.3 points.
What has me worried is that the Grizzlies are in the top 5 offensive teams in the road while the Heat are among the worst scorers at home.

4. Thunder +15.5 *** are very close to the Cavaliers in offensive and defensive stats. Shaq is probable today for the Cavaliers with his eye injury and even if he plays may not be 100%.

5. Spurs +6.5 **** This game is close to evenly matched on paper, but the Clipper's Baron Davis sat out practice yesterday with an illness and is probable today. Davis is Clipper's third best scorer with 16 ppg. That might make all the difference. Also the Clippers haven't beaten the Spurs at Los Angeles since March 7 2006.

I agree. Too many risks the other way. And theres nothing worse than losing on the first game of a parlay.
