Hope u guys are doing good tonight. I laid off the NBA and bet some college football tonight. Bet $600 on 3 team parlay (moneylines) and won $250 on a last second field goal. Roag I'm kind of with you on 5dimes but you have to photocopy all your stuff just to start depositing with a credit card which sucks. They do have teaser type bets where you can tease the points and can still win money even if you lose 1 game. It doesn't pay out as well but at least u still win some. GL guys.

jazz dont play D, and the spurs like to push it..i dont see why everyone thinks either one of these teams will slow it down after what theyve done in the preseason and the first few games of the year

Hi Roag,

Fairly new here...been hanging on the hockey forums (bet hockey and baseball). I'm trying to get a grip on basketball spreads so I'm laying low and doing homework for now. I know the sport well enough (played/coached) but betting it is not instinctive to me. I find NBA spreads difficult to guage because of the coast/no coast factor in the last minute of games with an 8 point (give or take) differential. So I'm watching/learning at this point.

...anyway...

The reason I'm posting is re the Karma thing. Don't sweat it cause you've got it...it'll turn for you...

roag, my biggest 1st Q lean for tomorrow will be cavs, provided it's -3 or under. lebron in MSG against the knicks...after a shaky start and a huge embarrassing loss to the bulls (a good team, but CLE definitely LOST more than CHI WON). LBJ will go crazy tomorrow. I'll also take ORL -3 or less. My dog pick is leaning towards memphis, if I can get over +2. they have been a 1st quarter machine, even against the lakers I like it.

thats shit value. 3 of 4 plays even $. you're better off betting them off individually. and 4/4 should pay much higher than 5/1.

i guess tradeoff is the flexibility... chance to with on a parlay without losing your whole amount if you go 3/4.

but i still think its shit value getting even $ for going 3/4. bet them all individually for 100 and bet 100 on a regular 4 teamer and it will be more profitable. there are tradeoffs like not having to risk 400 by betting individually if ur gonna bet 100 altogether.

i only play them occasionally at home. but like u said they'reunpredictable. At home they usually play decent though

agreed, I LOVE memphis tomorrow and will be taking them 1st Q as long as they are + anything. For the game I doubt I'll take them unless they're +7 or more

forgive any grammar/spelling/nonsensical writings, its early and im not gonna proofread a thread post...

so my over/unders are the only thing ive been making money on. my 3rd quarters are doing pretty well for me, and my teasers have me up. but my downfall is i incorporate one game/line into too many bets, therefore negating too many and i lose big if it goes under. so right now im just gonna post my over unders cause i think its the only thing that would help the board. as of right now im 9-3 on the bets ive made, and 4-1 on the plays ive made in the nba capping competition on this site. so heres my over/unders for the night san antonio/portland under 193, denver/miami over206, nets/76ers over 190. san antonio is facing the same back to back they did against the bulls and i dont think they can shoot as well as they did tonight and i dont think theyll have the energy they did tonight as everyone had to play a lot of hard minutes to dig themselves out of the hole they put themselves in. Plus the blazers always play staunch defense at home and slow the pace wayyyy down. i think popvich is gonna be furious at there defensive effort last night and make the spurs buckle down, but the blazers dont have an inside presence like boozer or okur to score points. all their points are at the guard positions which the spurs can do decent against. even if they have to collapse on a penetrator, which they will, oden and pryzibilla wont get the type of putbacks that jazz got last night. aldridge is an opportunistic rebounder at only 7.5 a game and he wont make the spurs pay. the heat will try to play an uptempo game. philly loves to run and against an inferior team they will run alllll game long. look at what they did against the knicks. i expect the same thing against the nets and i wouldnt be surprised to see them go over the 190 by as much as 20. easily!!! but i would of capped this game at 205. the sixers go bonkers on offense against bad teams and the nets can actually score against teams who do play real defense (i mean granted the other team still outscores them by 15). the heat game i cant back it up with any numbers or much sound logic. i just think the nuggets will put up points. theyve had a day off, but i DONT like that south beach effect. so if i was gonna say one of these is a weak bet i would say it is this pick. its more of a hunch than anything, but being on the road and going against a pretty good team i think it will be tough for denver to control the pace of the game. oh well. i think my first 2 picks are solid though
