No, it depends on the team and the situation. The Knicks for some reason are good at coming back from huge deficits. They did it last year and they've started out doing it again this year.

Last night, I should have taken the Mavs 2H HUGE against the Lakers. As soon as I saw Kobe and Artest get 2 fouls each in the first QUARTER, I knew the league wanted the Mavs to win to appease Cuban and negate the effects of Tim Donaghy's book coming out. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.

After looking at the lines all day, nothing jumps out at me except the Rockets and Bucks to win outright, but I can't pull the trigger so I'm going to lay off. Might have a 2H bet.

If Portland loses to the Rockets tonight, I will go heavy on Portland tomorrow to bring the Thunder back to earth. Portland destroyed the Thunder by 35 pts the last time they played in OKC.

At least I went 2-0 on my NBA straight bets tonight.

sac town has been playing well in the 2nd half too. i bet on them to cover their 2nd half. look at the 3 games theyve played and all the preseason games. they do well even against good teams. apart of it is that they are so far behind, but still, its a trend i like...and im gonna be a heavy 3rd quarter better now. all 3 of my 3d quarter bets won, and im hoping the mavs will complete it. but the damn knicks game and the under screwed me. i gotta stop putting the same game into all my parlays and teasers. its such a rookie move. like the lakers last night. just put them in one, MAX 2 and then move on and spread your money around. freakin greenhorn over here

and im still going with the spurs for the over in most games. they really like to push the ball now, and with blair getting them more off rebounds they are gonna get more second change points than they have been. they shot 40% in the bulls game, thats not gonna happen very often. i should of done it tonight, but im gonna stick with them, especially at home and if its under 205

It's a situational play for me; the Thunder are over-confident right now coming off 2 big wins, and a veteran Portland team coming off of a loss to Houston will be ready to teach them another lesson (like the 35 pt beating they put on them in April at OKC).

No comparison. Portland is a lot younger team than the Spurs, and the Thunder already won their home opener. Plus Portland has a 45 minute flight to get to OKC from Houston, they'll be well rested.

cavs -3.5, mavs -1.5, spurs -3.5...-4 is the limit and 3.5 is risky, you wanna take the teams who know how to win in the 3rd, its the game defining quarter in MOST games. obv not all, case in point the jazz/clips. but the cavs, celts, spurs, lakers, magic, nuggs. take em all year long. itll work in your favor, i swear

whoa dude, watch out for the surprise monkey!

yea, i was really feeling that "under" on the knicks...just didnt see it even coming close with their past performances and inability to score. i started with $400 and im down $50 right now. but its all been cause of single games like the lakers and the knicks over/under last night in which i put them into too many parlays and teasers (combined those games cost me $80). gotta limit myself. all my 3rd quarter bets are panning out and my 2nd half. just gotta spread it out so i dont lose too much on one game and go strong on teasers that look good. like tonight with the lakers pickem, nuggs -4, and boston -4....i almost went boston strait -11, but then i stepped back and went with my own advice of not too many bets on one game...what does everyone think of boston covering -11? i think ride those guys until they die right!
