Detroit is +6 because the public thinks Atlanta is going to win game 2 easily. Why? Because they had that big lead in Game 1 and blew it. But what the public doesn't know is that Detroit is a better and more experienced team. They had a slow start to the season with some injuries, but in the second half of the season they have been championship caliber.

I'd substitute Twins RL for Yankees ML. Just my 2 cents.
