I'm not going to respond to each post individually but I'll touch on certain posts that got my attention.
I don't have the time and energy to look all this up but let me know if Pierce can win with Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, Devean George, Jumaine Jones, Kareem Rush, Tierre Brown, Slava Medvedenko, Chucky Atkins, or Chris Mihm.
At some point during the three years after Shaq and before they acquired Gasol, Kobe led his team to the playoffs twice out of three years with some of these guys being starters and most of them being role players. Let's take a look at some of them. Smush Parker is not in the NBA anymore. Kwame Brown is a scrub. Devean George and Brian Cook warm the bench. Jumaine Jones and Kareem Rush disappeared. Medvedenko is somewhere in Europe. Chris Mihm is no longer relevant either. To top it off, the Lakers played in the West. Pierce is in the East. Go take a look at the records from the 04-05 seasonn till the 06-07 season and ask yourself if Pierce would have made the playoffs in the West with those players. NO! He couldn't even put his team out of last place with guys similar or better to these guys.
You guys all bash on Kobe and say he can't win without Shaq but what was Pierce without Garnett? What was Garnett without Pierce? What was Shaq without Wade? The list can go on. This is one of the stupidest arguments ever because obviously, no player can win it by himself.
