When they played the Lakers in the Finals, Pierce and not Kobe was the best player on the floor. I don't see how people can criticize the Celtics. They beat Chicago (should have been a sweep if Pierce makes his free throws), and they're up 3-2 on Orlando. All without KG and Leon Powe. Plus Ray Allen has played like absolute crap in this series.

Paul Pierce has never had a great team until now and they were really good about 6 or 7 years ago when they had Antoine Walker on the team. I could not agree more, This team is playing very smart basketball and their role players have stepped up big time with all the injuries. I hope that they can pull off the upset against Cleveland who is just lucky that KG is injured.

Ummm, did you not watch Paul Pierce score 40 something points on LeBron James (who is 6'9 by the way, Pierce is 6'7) in game 7 last year?

Have you not been watching these last couple of Orlando games? Paul Pierce went 6-11(55%) 19 points and 9-15 (60%) 27 points. The game before that he shot 6-15 but he made up for his poor shooting by getting to the line 14 times and hitting 14 free throws and still scored 27. I am pretty sure that he wasn't being guarded by Rafer or Anthony Johnson in those games.
