#3754Can you guys advise me good strategy for money management? What I do now, I bet and if I lose, I increase the next bet to cover past losses. But I am not comfortable with this one, can anyone of experts advise me something better?

#3755The first thing I would suggest is to break your bets down in units. Google "gambling units" if you are not familiar with the term.Originally posted by AroCan you guys advise me good strategy for money management? Look at your total bankroll as "100%"
Consider betting 1-3% per game (I'd find a percentage and stick with it)
If you're super aggressive, go 3%. Otherwise, I'd go 1-2%.
Moral of the story = everyone gets hot and cold. If you stay disciplined, you can stay in the game. It's true that most people can't make money doing this, but it isn't because they can't cap games. It's usually because they can't stay disciplined.Comment -

#3759I agree. Though sometimes when I feel really good about a game, I will go heavier than 3 percent. I do agree with his quote of 1 to 3 percent as regular wagers. Some people even do half of a percent for a unit. I hope this helps.Originally posted by terrortwylightIn a nutshell -

#3767Couldn't disagree more. Bankroll management is common sense. Basketball capping takes years of experience and a relatively high IQ. To suggest that what is holding the masses back from raking it in is bankroll management is deluded.Originally posted by terrortwylightIn a nutshell -
