John Wall just does too much for this Wizards team. That's not to say Paul doesn't do a ton for the Clippers but as we saw last night, they still have a bona fide star in Blake Griffin to rely on.

Yea. I will say that's probably due to the MVP thing. I've noticed these kinds of things have a tendency to affect late money. Similar deal with ring ceremonies.

Guys the Grizzlies could very well get blown out tonight. I realize that. I'm banking on them hanging tough though. Ultimately it's really as simple as whether or not Golden State is making their shots. If they are a little off and Memphis can run their offense through Gasol at the high post, then Grizzlies will have a chance to win this one. If Warriors come out guns a blazin then it might be over quick.

FWIW it seems to me the MVP team always seems to lose these last few years.

Remember the Bulls losing at home to Atlanta in game 1 when Rose got MVP. Think the Heat lost to the Pacers the following year in game 2 and to the Bulls the year after that in game 1.

Last year OKC beat the Clippers but that was different cause it was a must-win game down 0-1.

As crazy as it sounds, this bet isn't a done deal yet. Spread should hit but the Warriors can go on runs like no other team in this league.

Haha I'm well aware what GSW can do, I lost that Raptors +7.5 bet or w/e when they outscored them by like 30 in the 4th. I just don't think its possible on a team as defensively sound as Memphis.

Wednesday 5/6:

I really liked what I saw from Chicago last night. Their ball movement was exceptional. Maybe the best I've ever seen it. They are playing like a small ball team with their spacing and yet they still rebounded well and out-physicaled the Cavs. I see no reason why things should change dramatically. Yes Cleveland will play with an added sense of urgency but I just don't see a decisive Game 2 victory. Chicago has no reason to let up. This is a great opportunity to step on Cleveland's neck and take full control of the series.

We'll talk more about this game tomorrow but wanted to lock this in now.
