as you mention, the CBB plays must be made very close to tip-off, but I would like to ask if you always make your NBA plays the night before the game? I've been trying to get a better understanding of line-movement/betting trends lately and have noticed several instances where there was heavy line-movement just hours (or even mintues) before NBA tip-offs & have done alright so far, just following the late money. Obviously you are rolling early on in this thread, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

There is more to it than one particular method but it must meet the criteria within the line movement (line movement vs. the percentage of wagers on each side), opening lines and the change in the lines after the big wagers take place in early wagering, injuries, a formula which breaks down the game based on the point spread which allows me to cap the game to set my own spread ect, ect, ect.
As the lines first open, which i retrieve from 3 web sites that post their lines before they are released to the public, i compare and make a opening line and total. I then use the above methods including a few methods that would take to long to list on this thread. Within 10-15 minutes after i retrieve the lines i already have my plays but the reason i wait closer to game time (especially in College Basketball) is to track line movement, track the percentage of bettors on each team, check last minute injuries and team observations, and other reasons to take me off the play so i know when i post the play on this thread there is no reason to take me off my play.
In a nutshell thats about 75% of it and thats why when there are 66 games on a Saturday it takes me a while. I want to be certian before i post a play here that all the bases are covered and i didnt make any mistakes or errors within the play. I actually have a checklist a page long that the game must meet the entire criteria before i make it a play. Thats why i have a small percentage of plays on a day where there are 50-60 College games and 5-10 NBA games.
If i explained the whole process it would take me all day but just wanted to give you all that are wondering some idea where my picks come from. Botom line i spend alot of time everyday trying to make winning plays or games that have the best percentage of winning. And like yesterday sometimes these underdog plays that were 12-18 point dogs straight up win as did yesterday twice. Keep one thing in mind. Alot of people dont want to wager on a game that they cant watch. If that person is you, you will lose in the long run as the odds makers or line setters realize that a big majority of the bettors are what they call "Square Bettors" and more time is spent on the big inter- conference tv games such as the game tonight, UCONN vs. PITT and the lines usually are spot on with not much room for error. The smaller market games have line mistakes due to lack of public interest and the percentage of bettors on those games are small but there is more room for error on the part of the line settors for the "Sharp Bettors" to make winning wagers. Bottom line make I dont give a damn if i cant watch the game, i give a damn if i'm on the right side of the game.Comment -

You have made it public knowledge that you use SportsInsights.com as one of your sources of information....so why don't you also make it public knowledge when the plays you are posting in this forum are also plays that Sports Insights has listed as "Smart Money" and "Best Bet" plays that are e-mailed to paying customers? I am assuming you are waiting until "just before tipoff" to release the other play for the 8pm game that was included in the Sports Insights "Best Bet"/Smart Money play that was e-mailed along with the Canisius selection. If you would like to keep posting all of the Sports Insights Premium Pro content on this thread it would save me the monthly subscription fee....
For those of you not familiar with the concepts of Reverse Line Movement, "Early Sharp Action", "Smart Money" Plays, etc....you can go to www.sportsinsights.com and an entire other host of Sports Market/Live Odds based services that have essentially the same content that has been posted in this thread.
