I just opened an account with bookmaker.com and they allow you to buy up to 2 points at -150

I've used BetED before and they allow 3 point buying. I'm not sure but think they're at -170 for 3 points aswell. However, when comparing the BetUS and BetED together, I'd not need to buy as many points with BetED...

..I'd concluded (probably wrongly) that JM must use BetUS's spread to go by because of his relationship with them, so what I'd do is go look at BetUS's spread for 3 points and -170. Denver Point Spread was -5 one time for example (including the 3 points).

Then I'd log into BetED and see what the odds were for Denver at -5 - well, the odds on BetED was -135 that particular time!

So when it won, I won more than I would have done on BetUS, but still risked the same and at the same level. I did a few like that and odds I were getting were typically -140 or -150, but sometimes as low as -110!

With a bankroll of 3K you should start out with about $30 or 1%. This is slow and steady. This allows you to comfortably go to game three of a number of series or even lose a series or two to start out with and NOT worry.

Do you reckon JM will email Sac as the next play? They have the worst record @ 4-28 BUT by tipoff I reckon they will be joined on 4-28 by the Grizzlies who play Boston and Detroit away before then. (Detroit is earlier that day).
Strictly by the rules it should be a no play. I have tipped the other games this season that were filtered but this one I think I will sit out.

my friend emailed back asking why it was a play since memphis had the worst road record at the time
he got no reply

it will be a play until it loses then it will be filtered. i have a play on every game on the entire board every day then when it loses i filter it cause i can make up any filter i want like in the third quarter someone's shoelaces came undone. i never lose

tread lightly on those bad teams especially late in the year.

I am sitting out the SAC series starting Sunday as well.

JM should not email it but he will. If it wins, add it to the total. If it loses, he will say it doesn't count.

And I say this as someone that has bet his system all year and is up over $2K from it!

I honestly wish he wouldn't fudge like that and instead just follow his own system. SAC will either have the worst or tied for worst road record in the league at start of series = no play.

I see where you are coming from, but I just hesitate to jump to the word 'scammer' to describe someone that has provided me/others with a system that has gone a legit 71-1 so far this NBA season.

The one loss was the very first series, Sacramento, which went into the series with a 1-0 road record so obviously should be counted.

You are right though, proper filters and $ management from those applying the system is key.

Me too!
My record is 99.97%. I filter out all my losses.
Once I pushed but that push came as a result of an extraordinary fluke where all 3 major superstars of the opposing team at the time who were out for a consecutive 70(!!) games were ALL unexpectedly put back into the lineup at the very last minute.

Actually that should be filtered too!

If I was a betting man I would bet against JM emailing the Sac game. Too much of a risk to his credibility given it is the same team that caused the problem in game 1.
One thing I have noticed is that some teams struggle more under his system than others. Toronto is a case in point. They recently went to C twice - once needing bought points.
They also won a Game A early in the season on buying points then lost what would have been B and C.
The failed team last year was the Nets. Correct me if I am wrong but were they not a below average team last year?
I am wondering whether a weighting strategy may be useful depending on the team position on the table?
Or am I overanalysing it????????

It would be interesting to analyze the losses of the previous years, and determine the road record at that time of each team that lost the C bet.

If it can be determined that the C bet losses occurred to teams with road records that were up to the 4th best/worst road records in the league, then a new version of JM might exclude those teams with the 4 best/worst road records.

In other words, the system will focus more on the middle of the pack road teams, as a way to further minimize a C bet occurrence and loss. A negative side effect is of course the loss of more chances to win, but that may be a good side effect in the long run, to play less games which have a higher % of winning.
