What have I noticed during my research???????


1. Make sure the 3 game series starts out of conference (ala sacramento this year. there would have been 2 more losses in 06 and 07 if you didnt do this!!! Make sure they start out of conference.

2. Suck it up and buy the full 3 points. Would have been a couple of 2 games losses with the third game pushing instead of winning at a 2 point buy.

3. this system works with proper money management over the long haul.

No, I don't, but I've come up with these stats which may help:

I've been playing the system for only a few weeks and using an Aussie bookmaker where you can't buy points (well, you can buy alternate lines at +/-5 on the spread but that's it). I set up a spreadsheet that compares JM's official method with the same plays made without the 3 point buy on the spread for each game. I studied the ATS results for about 15 teams going back 5 years and found that buying the three points will result in a win approximately 14% more often compared with not buying the 3 points.

From what I have been able to deduce, this seasons results under JM's method are as follows:

66 bet "series" (67 if you count the controversial C bet loss early on in the season).

Total A bet wins: 43
Total B bet wins: 21
Total C bet wins: 2
Total loses (on C): 0 (1 if you count the one at the start of the season).

I have heard JM say that buying the 3 points this season has made the difference 10 times (which as a percentage of the 66 official series is about 15%). From what I can deduce, these break down as follows:

A bets won by 3pts or less: 6 or 7
B bets won by 3pts or less: 2 or 3
C bets won by 3pts or less: 1

My spreadsheet tells me that not buying the points actually comes out a bit ahead of the 3 pt method. The corollory to this is that you will lose more often (~15% of bets or more), but the wins you do have will be at +110 (a return of 1.91 on each unit bet). Also, because the chase ratios are much lower, you lose fewer "win" units on each loss.

My misfotune has been that since I started the system, I have hit 2 B and a C bet that lost due to me not buying points! So I have joined at just the wrong time to not be buying points and am actually down on my starting stake.

Bottom line is this:

If I had played this season from the start and assuming the above numbers are correct, using [A] bets of $75 the net gain for the season so far would have been:

Buying 3pts (Official JM method): $2,545
NOT buying points (cause I can't with my local sportsbook): $2,830

If there is a [C] bet loss for the official method before the end of the season, then the JM figure would drop a LOT more than the non-3pts buying figure.

I just joined at the wrong time - just in time for a series of hard losses due to not buying the 3 points!! Anyway, I'll keep playing the system for the rest of the season and try the MLB system too and resume the NBA system without the points buying when the 09/10 season starts later this year.

Hi all,
I'm pretty new to Sports Betting, I only started it last December.

I have an account with BetUS - I requested a payout of $300 last Saturday- they charged me $25 (so $325 came out of my betting account).

I'm in the UK, so they sent the payment by International Bank Wire, and I got it pretty quick - it was in my account on Wednesday!

The problem is though, that BetUS have sent the wrong amount - they should have sent me $300, but they only sent $252.53! So anyway, I'm exchanging emails with them now to try to get the rest of the money they owe me.


Oh, and by the way, I only started betting because I bought the Sports Betting Champ System. I funded my account with $50 last December and it was up to $556 last week (before I withdrew that money). So not entirely sure why people are calling it a scam. Works for me!

I'm also aware of the 6x rollover. So I asked how much i still have to wager for withdrawing any money.

I have a small bankroll balance of about $300, and I'm going all in on this C bet with +9 Warriors. If I had a good sized bankroll, like $10,000, then I would never go all in, cause that's just wrong. But, since it's only a small bankroll, and I don't care much for it, I'm going all in.

I started playing the system very late, so I haven't been able to collect much on it, especially, since I bet very small amounts (5 to 10 bucks usually, for A bets) due to the small size of my bankroll.

If the C bet looses, then I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore, until I put together a large bankroll in the future and play this system the way it deserves to be played, that is, by following it from the beginning to the end, with due attention to all the rules and filters of the system.

And I didn't get any bonus from BetUS so have been free to withdraw whenever I wanted.

When I first joined the system, I did think it was a bit of a scam because of the way he pushed for me to sign up with BetUS.

Well, I opened an account with them, but didn't deposit anything. Within a day someone rang me up to try to get me to deposit. I said no thanks - and had to be quite forceful as they're a pushy sales team I guess.

A day later, I got another phone call and again, I worked quite hard to fight him off without sounding rude or aggressive.


And For a month or two I just paper traded with the system, Then, still sceptical, I deposited $50 in the account - because I didn't want to risk too much (plus I didn't/haven't got too much to risk!)

And like I said, before I withdrew, it was up to $556 (from $50) under John's system.

I've stopped for the moment though, I'm going to use an account which allows free neteller payouts.

Since I've been betting the picks have been on NBA games, and for this season there's not been any losses so far. Under the system's guidelines, and trying not to give away any secrets, it tells you to place your first bet (called an [A] bet). if the [A] bet loses, then you make a [B] bet to win back the losses. if the [B] bet loses, then you go to a [C] bet, and again you'll need to recoup the previous losses with that bet. If the [C] bet fails, then that's the end of the line, you lost (a lot) of money.

During this season though, there's only been 2 [C] bet's to make I think, and those have both won. So any losses you had before would have been won back - if you'd followed the systems guidelines.

Also, to cover all the bet's, I worked out that your [A] bet needs to be a maximum of 10% of your account balance to have enough funds. So I started off with $5 bet's. 2 and half months later my money is 11 times the size.

Yes, that's a bit misleading - I believe he's going by each run of [A], [B] and [C] bets.

Only if it loses at the [C] bet will it count as a loss with his stats.


EDIT: Your wins on the 18th and 19th feb would have been [B] bet's, and so should have covered the previous bet's. To win everything back, you should have risked $135 to cover the losses of the original $50 bet.

That's why I only wanted to risk $50. If a [C] bet had lost, then my whole account would have been virtually wiped out (but still only would have lost $50), but it didn't - it's part of the gamble I took, and I won.


Also, when I start again with a new account, I'll probably limit my betting to even smaller amounts, like 2% of the account balance or something, so if the C bet does lose, then at least I still have 80% of the account still there to bet with.

I was very cautious about his system but here is my expirence.

I started in MLB last year and toward the end we lost about 3 games. After that he came up with a new filter but I never played it.
THe thing that bothers me is that in his web site he has 0 losses last year, BUT THAT IS AFTER HIS FILTER WAS APPLIED AND BACKTESTED.

Now this year i have played the NBA and have been sucessfull with it, I allways buy at least two points.
The other thing if you use BETUS they shave a point off their spread to the public if you have signed up with them.

I really do think he know what he is doing and you can make money.BUT GUYS REALIZE EVEN IF YOU LOOSE TONIGHT YOU ARE STILL MAKING MONEY.

I am not a tout or anything, I think he does perfect the system as he goes along..nothing wrong with that, but to "fudge" his record well?
