Lakers-Nuggets Total Three Point Shots Made Over 14.5 [-140]
LA may be struggling to fully grasp D'Antoni's system, but one thing is for sure - they have become more free to shoot the three. In the five games since D'Antoni took control, LA has put up 124 three point attempts. In ten games prior to that, LA had taken 206 attempts. So they have gone from averaging around 20 per game to something close to 25 attempts per game. Better yet, they are making a good deal of those with 9.6 makes per game in that stretch. Denver is averaging just over a half dozen per game on about 17 attempts. They come in off one of their best nights of the year [10/21] against Golden State. We're looking at a few streaky shooters with AI, Gallinari, Lawson, Brewer, Miller & Hamilton all capable of hitting a couple. Still, expect about the average and anything above that is gravy. LA is the key in this one. The rotation is still a bit unsettled, but Kobe is going to launch. Metta World Peace will launch if given space. Jamison, Duhon, Meeks & Morris can all add in here. Denver is 5th worst in the league defending the arc, so that should play right into the hands of LA in this one. 40+ shots and I like our chances.
