#2347Btw hope you don't interpret this as me trying to start shit. I know you usually think that. I posted the original post at the beginning of the second quarter when Thunder were up 5.Comment -

#2348I don't know if I'd go that far. There have been stretches -- even in Memphis -- where the Thunder have dominated.Comment -

#2352- OKC led by 6 going into the 4th quarter of game 2.
- Game 3 was tied with two minutes left.
- OKC blew a 17 point lead and lost in overtime in game 4.
I wouldn't say Memphis has dominated. With that said, the better team wins close games so no excuses from me. Memphis has just been better. Same thing with OKC against Miami last year. Three of those games were one possession in the final minute and Miami made the plays because they were better.
As for Brooks, I have defended him in the past but can't defend him this playoffs. He was clueless in the two games OKC had chances to win in Memphis. The offense was horrible.
He also had to resort to the Hack a Turk in the Houston series with 6 minutes left at home. That's bush league and the sign of a coach that has run out of ideas.
It's a horrible offense to have Durant dribble up court, run around, and then jack up a forced shot with two defenders hanging off of him for 48 minutes.Comment -

#2354GS in its first 8 playoff games was 8-0 ATS.
Memphis since game 1 vs LAC is 9-0 ATS.

#2355Ya that's true which makes me question why the books are so stubborn especially on lines for GS. Their lines are consistently like +7 or +8 on the road which they can cover with ease and then at home their pk em at a court with massive home court advantage.Comment -

#2356Grizzlies outplayed them in Game 1 and lost. Game 2 was very close and Memphis pulled it out. Game 3 Memphis played better but certainly did not dominate and kept OKC in the game. Thunder went on some great runs in the first half in Game 4 but Memphis still outplayed them most of that game in my opinion. Just dug a quick hole that's all.Comment -

While Memphis hasn't been dominant, I have never felt like OKC was the better team because Memphis has outplayed them.Comment -

#2358A ton of similarities between this series and Knicks/Pacers.
Agreed with Wiz, Grizz have pretty much outplayed the Thunder this entire series. Same with Pacers. Outside of the huge run the Knicks had in game 2, Pacers have dominated almost every quarter of that series.Comment -

#2359Yea it's all about how hard you have to work on offense and how good of looks you're getting. Memphis goes through occasional ugly stretches but for the most part they get good looks. Obviously OKC is struggling mightily and has to work very hard on offense. Like you said, similar with the Pacers/Knicks. These are the benefits of an inside presence. Just so happens both Memphis and Indiana have two of them each.Comment -

#2361knicks/pacers series and clippers/grizz are so similar imo. a team with a superstar, flashy alley-oops and dunks, a volatile scorer off the bench who often shoots you in/out of games, and a 2nd best offensive player banged up (amare/griffin) vs a team with no superstar but lock-down defense and tough homecourt.Comment -

#2364Well my Thunder sure got their ass whooped in this series. Memphis is the better team.
Hopefully next year when Westbrook gets back we can get back to being a run and gun street ball team that doesn't rely on coaching to win.Comment -
