Do you have any read on why that jazz total is going the opposite direction?
Seems solid over with jazz playing a solid over pace and mem having to keep up with jazz also I feel both teams probably won't be motivated to play a lot of defense from fatigue due to b2b....Comment -

Big card but I am quietly confident in these picks. I have been doing some analysis of my plays lately and there have been quite a few that do not seem like strong plays under review. I think I have been guilty of forcing some plays, a cardinal sin in handicapping but very important that I have been able to recognize this. So anyway it just so happens that I decided to severely tighten the criteria for putting out plays and was predicting there would be no more than 2-3 ATS picks max on most days from here on in. It just so happens that today's card is one of those rare one's where there are a lot of great match-ups and/or angles from a betting point of view. I also really liked Minnesota but could not pull the trigger due to Kevin Love's unknown status and the whole "fade the team with the returning star" angle (Rubio is back today).

Yeah it's still alive, we can still cash this one if Gasol/Randolph turn up to play & the Jazz rebound from yesterday's poor shooting. Just a pain when the line moves 3 points in the opposite direction.

The heavily criticised Raptors are a wounded beast at the moment. They have been (supposedly) called the worst team in the League by their own star player and they are also under fire in the media for their own lack of effort, energy and general cohesion. They are missing two of their best three players in Bargnani and Lowry and hence Houston will have a vastly superior line-up on the floor, but there are too many possible factors that can affect this game to be overly confident on it, so lets stick to the 1 unit on this one boys.

rockets line does seem a bit low.
Maybe because of the rockets poor record at the ACC but, the rockets are a whole different team this year. Calderon will play Lin hard. Last time Lin hit that massive game winner from beyond the arc, right in his face. Both played well last time but I would give props to Lin over cald for hitting the game winner- Cant split them otherwise. However, the knicks didint have someone like harden...so the raptors need to not only check lin but to also check harden.
Rockets comfortable imo. Worthy of a bill or two.Comment -

Lin will have his fair share of supporters in toronto (more NBA Asian fans there)
Houston have their preferred lineup and two stars missing from Toronto. Will Kleiza drop another 5 3's.
Personally I think rockets should win and cover the spread. they have a bad road record but of the road trips you'd tip them to win... The "worst team" is one especially missing a couple stars.

I actually hate to now that Calderon is going to play 30 plus minutes without Lowry. Might even get to 40. Calderon does a terrific job of not making mistakes and controlling the pace of the game. The Rockets won't be allowed to run wild tonight unless they do it off missed shots, don't expect the Raptors and Calderon to let them do it otherwise or to even enter in their game... unless, of course, they get completely destroyed in the half-court which is a possibility with Harden against Derozan. I like it and I want to take the Rockets but I would actually prefer it if Lowry was starting.Comment
