Horrible weekend. Got crushed. Put alot of time into my plays. Didn't work out. Confidence is low, but I'll bounce back. My sincere apologies to any who tailed. Not done yet however. Confident the Dee's will smash the Pies tomorrow. No, not a tilt play, don't really tilt as have been doing this for so long that I've pretty much seen it all by now. Was always planning on playing the Dee's big, was just waiting for late money on the Pies to reduce the line.

i am finding afl very tough lately, regularly getting my neck broken from whiplash.

ie was on the saints previous two weeks and they don't show up, then go against them this week and they come to play.

seems alot of variability in some teams performance, but hard to pick spots where teams will play well.

Lads for those who are tailing better free up some funds because we are going to go BIG on GWS this weekend. Will have a play tomorrow before the line gets too out of hand.

PS - Very keen on Warriors game 6 ML. At this stage considering 2 units on the ML. Expecting them to start fast, so also leaning towards a 1st Half play?

Was opening my mail last night, got a letter offering $10 free on some online casino. Was just watching NRL shows on Foxtel so I thought sure I'll gamble away your free $10 on a couple of spins. Hit the free games straight away and won $100, so tried to withdraw it, and they said no no no, you have to turn over $400 before you can make any withdrawals, so I said no problem & just set the machine to auto-spins. By the time It had run through the required $400 worth of spins I had myself a balance of $409 (USD) & have now requested a withdrawal. Other than a couple of small tennis wagers I certainly wasn't expecting to make any money last night. Hilarious!

Souths are horrible. Burgeye bro's way down on form, Inglis & Reynolds gone to origin, average forward pack, terrible backline, weak bench, Keary at 6 is the only shining light for this team. Worst ATS team, have been horrible in defence las 2 months conceding 29+ ppg. Their block block 1 out crap isn't working without a dominant forward pack & for the 1st time questions are being asked of Madge's game plan.

Eels have actually won 2 in a row & showed plenty of heart against a gritty Titans team last week. Still have plenty of class & experience in Norman, Scott, Gordon & Ma'u. Also genuine game breaker in Radradra & great young talent in French & Gutherson in the backline. On paper & on form they have Souths covered. Also statistically - they are 4-1 this season against teams outside top 8, they have a fantastic ATS record at ANZ stadium, and a positive ATS record this season (7-6) They have bigger forwards, better forwards, more dangerous 3/4 line, best half on the field (Norman) better bench.

The surprise return of Souths captain John Sutton is the reason that the ML hasn't come in as predicted, but is holding firm around $1.80. Also because Sammy Burgess was under an injury cloud but was named to play. Whatever. Eels win & win well...

My favourite match up (from a betting POV) in a long time.

Warriors v Roosters
2* Warriors -7.5
1* Warriors 13+ ($2.50 Sportsbet)
1* Warriors team total Over 25.5 ($1.82 Sportsbet)
1* Over 45.5

3rd & 4th worst teams defensively.
Between them they concede over 50ppg.
In 3 of 5 matches this season at Mt Smart, the Warriors have scored 26+ but they are currently in their best form of the season.
Warriors have put on 84 points in their last 2 matches.
Roosters had 46 put on them last week, but it wasn't a once off as they have conceded 30.5ppg over their last 4 and I expect the Warriors to put 30+ on them as well. Roosters defence is certainly not helped by the loss of star back rowers Cordner & Guerra.
No doubt coach will have torn shreds off them & would expect a better effort this week, however it won't be enough. Very little in the NRL is scarier than a confident an in form Warriors team. Their spine of Johnson, lo-lo & Luke are electric when they are in form, and that they are...

Freo v Port
1.5* Over 179.5 (William Hill - 180.5 is ok)

Two good looking forward lines on paper, although Freo's depends somewhat on how much gas super Pav has left in the tank & whether Ballantyne is back in form? (4 goals last week). Anyway Port hasn't had a game under 180 points in 6 weeks & appears to be back playing their trademark run n' gun footy. Also Freo put 147 on hapless lions last week. Perfect football weather predicted.

Geelong v Western Bulldogs
1* Geelong 1-39 ($2.30 William Hill)

Almost a 50/50 non betting game, but after already losing so many A graders (Murphy, Johannisen, Wood, etc) I feel like the underrated Dahlhaus is just 1 star too many. Also the power of Danger-Wood appears to be unstoppable at the moment haha. Feel like there is a definite edge to Geelong here and hence the $2.30 available on the Cats 1-39 provides enough for a small bet. Dogs biggest loss has been 25 points this season, hard to see them losing by more than 40.

Unfortunately the Freo game didn't go as expected lots of pressure on the ball from both sides and lots of missed shots cooked the over. Happy with how my boys looked, I think theyll beat Collingwood for four in a row. Our forward line is much better than theirs.
