ill start a thread for the gatorade duels tomorrow sometime for fun and discussion...i dont cap or wager any of these per-500 exibitions like i will regular races but if they are half as fun as shootout was tonight, im still just as excited for it!!!!!

Can't help lamenting how much better the Smoke/Kyle combo was than the Ambrose/Keselowski pair in those last 2 laps though. Looked like it was totally down to smarter/better driving to me too. A four way fight for the line would have really capped off that race extra well. (as a one eyed MA man anyway)

He posted his picks and reported making at least a few hundred profit on the majority of races he was around last year. Think he may have lost yesterday though, so not week in and out.

Hawk 5 and Dew22 are pretty reliable too.

5mike, is betting nascar really profitable week in and week out?

i mean its what i do for a living, so its my job and yes pays very well....on winning weeks i propohit a minimum of 800-1500 a race, and hit at 75% margin last 3 years, meaning i dont lose 1.00 on those races, so it works for me.but i also wager alot on them and do my hiomework...i dont wager 1/4 on these pre-season races becuase the length of the races and they arent "regular" points races...impossible to cap these the same as regular races, not to mention its plate tracks

i live the off seson just from winnings of the season and tinkering around with football, but im only good and make good money at nascar, and a little poker every now and then

took me MANY years on small wagering to make it to where i am today....been making a living on gamling(mostly NASCAR) FOR AROUND 3 YEARS now, and my nascar winnings have risen every single year since ibeen in the positive side of things...its hard work..and heart-breaking sometimes...period

but impossible to win EVERY week just like anything else people wager on...

i tell u something else i started betting for fun last 2 months is players props in bb that are +100 and worse odds..i am terrible at basketball capping when it comes to sides/totals, but..they have been fun and prophitable too...but doubt i keep that up during the season, i just wont have the time

well i agree, i have never bet him on an oval, and wont til he wins either, but he has improved 10 fold last year or so on the ovals

i want to fly down to daytona for the duels and 500 but im so excited i may just wait til vegas or another upcoming event....

when i went to daytona 500 last year it was a great experience but i also like watching the plate races from the TV at home so i can get a great view and watch everything...the experience is awsome and all but u cant get the views i like to have

well 40+guys really cant win it, maybe 15 depending on the track...cappers can narrow down depending on tracks history, stats, ect..and of course there are suprises, but in general...and u have to keep in mind, at least for me, my system i pick several winners for big prophit and several guys just to cover my wagers for ther week, and i wager alot on each race...and its not like they are -110, i mean 5 and 6 to 1 are HUGE favs in a nascar race...

nascar is all about the odds u take each driver at, at least in system i use...the odds are everything and the timing of when u bet each driver becuase they move alot...it took me many many years to get good at when the odds are in my range for who i want to take each week

exactly....plate tracks (daytona/dega) are really just a crap shoot...i mean there are guys better than others, but its not a normal race u can handicap like the other tracks...and people shouldnt bet near as much on these races....thats why the odds are so good here

yeah i wouldnt put much on those for sure...i cant help but put regulat amount on the 500, but just doesnt make sense for the spped week events IMO....really no way to get an edge, especially this year because the racing HAS changed with the new rules they placed on the car set-ups

i will start a seperate thread tomorrow morning for the gatorade Duel races on thursday afteroon, seperate from the 500 i will start, just so we can have a plave to discuss them...personally i will probably bet 2 guys per duel just for fun cause im focusing my cappin for the week for the 500.and wont be using my usual betting system either....but still want a thread for discussion

i wont be cappin the Duels like "regular" races..i never do speed weeks..but ill still pick 2-3 guys to win just for fun...just always spend my week trying to come up with 500 stuff....

these things are just crp-shoots, but they still pay very good if u win....i just dont put too much on line for the duels being its a 20-lap sprint at a plate track ya know?

really not smart for me to bet as much on the 500 as i do normally, but i just cant help myself...even for the 4 plate track races during the season, i always end up betting the same as any other...lol...actullay got very lucky on all 4 plate races last year....had "field" when bayne won the 500, but was at VIP.com for 1/2 last season
