Also, I'm with Avs. Maybe we go lighter on the restrictor races if that's what the group wants, but no reason to skip them all together.

Thanks Avs/Diogee.
@Hawk. I sent 160 back to you in error. Can you please send it on to Dew22 who I meant to send it to.
(thanks for loan Dew... didn't need it in end)
@Soxwin. No need to commit all your points every day. Just as it suits you is fine.
The sportsbook cash has already been credited to 5D. So we are ready to go!

Good luck guys. Have fun. Will be interesting to watch this. Make big money.
Sorry I didn't get in, but my mind wasn't in NASCAR mode yet. Need to get it there for after Daytona, as I don't bet on restrictor plate races.

Race 1 - Daytona
Bankroll: $250
Stake: $25
Punters: Optional and Carolina Daze
Just to recap. We get 1 point for breaking even, 2 points for earning $25 profit, and 3 points for earning $50 or more profit. (the points are only used to set the order from race 8 onwards)
You can bet on anything 5D offer, including qualifying matchups. (ie: the duels for Daytona)
Here's what I am thinking of doing CD. Everyone feel free to chip in with ideas. I really wish I wasn't up this week and I don't feel confident at all.
Whoever is H2H against Junior and JG in the duels.
Logano and Biffle for a top 10 in the 500
And I'm tossing up these guys for the win: Edwards, Burton, Gordon, Kyle, Junior, Biffle
*Edit: or maybe I should keep it simple and just go $5 each on my 5 winner picks for a Top 5?

this should be interesting as I'm sure we'll all have slightly different strategies, either going for long-shots or playing conservative or a little of both.

Opti & Group, i'm thinking about taking 3 drivers all to win, $10,$10,$5. If i pick winner out of them, i will double, maybe triple my bet.

Ok, I'll try and take a more conservative route and maybe just go for top 10s.
After Junior wrecked his car, do you think he is likely to try harder or play even safer in the Duel race? I'm thinking that he will not see any point in risking the backup ride, making something like this a safe play in the Duel;
Tony Stewart #14* -140 vs Dale Earnhardt Jr #88
Risking $25.00 To Win $17.86
or maybe
Jamie McMurray #1* -130 vs Jeff Gordon #24
Risking $25.00 To Win $19.23
or a split between the two.
Not very exciting, but I get the feeling those two could be the only real genuine high probability to win plays we will see.

5D did allow parlays, so the Punters Club is officially go...
I think team mates are going to a bigger factor today than Sunday. So Martin will be attached to Johnson, who I suspect will be keen to line up next to Gordon, so will go for the win. On the other hand I think Montoya and Kurt being one out in this race will make it harder for them to find a decent partner today than it was in the shootout or will be Sunday.
Same logic with the team mates sticking together, and I think two Fords will work better than 2 Toyotas in the last laps.
And these 3 is based on Gordo/Jnr not needing to do anything but escape wreck free, and Bayne just being great value.

No problem, i like the logic, and wish i would have seen this betting option earlier, being able to parlay a couple match-ups at a time made the value worth it for such a small amount of rick.

I've been thinking that most of the week. He's figured something out, and he's got good running parters on the track.

I like Kurt too. But one of the talking heads said no one has ever won the shootout, a qualifier, and the 500 in the same year. Nobody had ever won 5 sprint championships in a row either tell last year.

kurt has always been one of my favs, just cant see lightning striking that many times in a row, when you put a full field out there do you really expect regan smith or keselowsi to be pushing him to victory, or would mcmurray be there with his chevy to kurts dodge in the 500, just dont see it, plus he always seems to be 2nd in this race

For my remaining $19 of club bets I am thinking;
$5 each for Top10 on Edwards, Biffle and Kenseth
$2 for the Win on two of them... probably Edwards+Kenseth

Wow decisions decisions. Ya'll were right about this being a crap shoot, i think this will come down to 2 things, having the right running partner and cooling of the engines. I'm gonna make my picks after watching the last happy hour tomorrow, but as of now I'm liking 2 RCR cars Kevin Harvick & Clint Bowyer. I dont know much about Jeff Burton, Kurt has ran great this week, but he keeps having Brake System problems, plus the odds of 0-11 for drivers in the 500 who have won shootout and 150 in same week. Kyle is always dangerous, but i got a feeling that when the time comes he will get hung out to dry. Jr. has lots of pressure on him this week, it will be tricky(accidents) coming from the back, plus dont think his back up car is as fast as the one he won pole with. JJ is quit this week, but his car was fast in fridays practice, in the past few years he hasn't finished very well in Daytona but He's Jimmie Johnson, and he can win anytime. Im not sure how Jeff G car is gonna be after hitting wall thursday. Matt k & Greg B together at the end could win it. Plus theres Jamie M, Carl E, Denny H, Tony S, Kasey K. Tell me what you guys think about any of these. In the end i'm gonna go with what my gut is telling me, and hopefully i win us some $$$$$.

Tuff, tuff, tuff. When u 2 get your bets sorted out put them where the rest of us can see real easy so we can root our money to victory. Good luck. And everyone remember this is gambling, not life or death.

LOL... just wait until you have the pressure on!
Didn't realize these little bets would cause more stress than a personal all-in.
