Back at midweek and NASCAR hits its first road course of the season in Sonoma. I particularly don't like these courses but I do still bet on them. Nationwide is at Road America and that is the inaugural race there. Trucks are off until July 11th.

In the Nationwide race there's an Aussie making his debut that will be worth watching out for too. Owen Kelly. Tasmanian like Ambrose and reputed to be one of the best around Bathurst, like Ambrose..Comment -

#7Some matchup prices on Bwin.
David Reutimann -167
David Ragan +120
Who will go worse... Ida thought Reuti, but not one for me anyway.
Jamie McMurray -125
J.P. Montoya -111
I like McMurray on a road course, but hard to take him as favorite against Montoya.
Kasey Kahne -125
Ryan Newman -111
I think Kahne looks like great value at those odds. Might take that one.
Marcos Ambrose -154
Tony Stewart +110
Stewart has to be the value play there!
Robby Gordon -154
Boris Said +110
I might take Robby there. Said is on an extra long shoestring this year, and is stuck with an old version Roush car, so can't use setup info from them as he has in the past. And Robby has 2 cars entered to work practice with.
Carl Edwards -154
Jeff Burton +110
Both under fair odds, imho. No thanks.
Jimmie Johnson -139
Kevin Harvick +100
Not sure about that one. I've got a pretty high opinion of Harvick on road courses..Comment -

#9Road course races usually put me to sleep. So I guess its a good thing I will be on the road and will miss this one. But if one of you recommend a couple of drivers I might put a little something on them before I head to the beach for a week of sun and oil!Comment -

#122 x German DTM champion. Should be one of the best new ringers we have seen for a while.

#22messing me up too. Won last week, pole this week, they say momentum is huge in racing. still don't trust him on a road course though, but I'm usually wrong with those instinctsComment -

I still think Ambrose is the benchmark though.
Right now I'm a disappointed boy though... really really wanted to watch the Road America quali and race today... but it appears they are not showing it on Speed.Wonder why?

#29I am so up in the air on this race. Ambrose looks like the winner on paper, but anything can happen in a road course. A side from Ambrose. Burton, Harvick and Jimmie all had great practices.
As of right now, I like Ambrose, Montoya, Newman, Burton, Harvick and Jimmie. 5dimes right now don't even have odds on Newman, or Burton for that matter. So I am still trying to decide on what to do here.Comment -

#31I wanted to take a couple of the head2head bets bwin had up, but they disappeared yesterday and only just re-appeared with a whole different set of matchups.
All I have so far is Ambrose +420 (should have taken the early +700 on that one).Comment -
