The "overtime line" is lame as it's gets. Why not just be like it was and if they don't make it to the white flag they try it again. It's still 3 attempts anyways it's just a cheap thing to end it imo. And watching 4 hours of a race to them watch cars take the checkered flag under caution at 45 mph is almost inexcusable at this point

    wonder why the ratings stink????
Yeah I agree or go to 5 lap overtime if you wreck you're parked

never thought about a 5-lap OT, not a bad idea actually

they need to do something. I hate this "OT line" and honestly don't understand why they changed it from taking the white flag ends the race. At least in that moment we KNOW if the race is over or not. Lol

any lay recall WHY the changes the rule? I don't recall why but terrible decision

i mean nobody even knows where the OT line event is most times or if the leader passed it yesterday. Was just awful having to wait and see where JJ was when caution waived.

And to this day day I hate seeing caution flag and checkered waiving and cars putt putting at the end of a 4 hour race. Was Disappointing

A big anti climax to a good 4 hours racing

Also not a fan of this stage racing it just breaks up the race

You know lost in all this before Regan cut his tire Truex was within a couple of laps of passing JJ for second. He was closing like mad on second place. If he would have gotten past Jimmie he wins that race easily on the restart and I had him for a couple of units. Tough when you have best two cars on the track. JJ even admitted he'd rather be lucky than good afterward. Guess that's how it goes sometimes
