No one has ever won at Dover from last , kyle petty won in 1995 from 37th but that was when it was 500 laps
I was just looking in my notebook for that info. Lol

Yeah wouldn't surprise me , think he can get top 10 by lap 240 (2nd segment) he may play the staying out game for track position , but he did a lot of practice of pit lane stops yesterday and that number 1 stall isn't ideal

Still debating last play to closeout parlay with JJ or Kyle b. Unless I take a longshot that's it
Still just Larson (+650), truex (+750) and Kennseth (+1150) so far

JJ was a lucky SOB. Larson was home free until that penetrating late caution. He should have started on the inside last restart to keep that crap off his tires they spread all over the track that he kept driving through under yellow

I finished second, third and a tire fell off my car. Had three units on Larson to win +650, my biggest play. By far the best car and home free with 4 laps to go. Until all hell broke loose. Pretty Disappointed. Less then two minutes from a 2k cask and poof, up in speedy dry

so true. probably wouldn't have mattered. He's gotta get that restart down whether its in his head or other reasons.

Without the caution during OT, would that have been the white flag lap or final?

I remember when they had to get to the white flag or they had to do it again. Would have liked to see them restart again

white flag
he got back to the "overtime line" before the caution waved. Had the caution came out before he got there would have been another GWC. They can have up to 3 of them

That's because just like everything else in NASCAR the OT rules have changed over the years

Feel deflated too Bigjay. Finish sucked after such a good race and I would have had a big win on Larson too.

Kid ran real well today. Has to learn how to finish. I had a bad feeling when the caution came out although he'd had good restarts all day. My feeling got worse watching him run lap after lap on the outside through that powder dry crap under yellow.

Immaterial cautions for one reason or another have seemed to spell doom for the race leader/ dominator
Larson is ALWAYS there at the end and Jay's right, has to close better. He's been top 3 like 70% of the races probably

#42 should of won , he did admit that he isn't as good on front row restarts and with a aggressive Jimmie on his inside think he thought he had the 48 covered and was more worried about truex on better tyres
My complaint is it wasn't clear if they got to the overtime line before the yellow came out

Gordon called it live that they were way past it when yellow came out and then TV did a replay showing it clearly.
They called the yellow very late though. Easily could have been called before he hit the line

And just a fan, I HATE overtime rules now. Asnusual nascar just tinkered with it tooooooo much.
The "overtime line" is lame as it's gets. Why not just be like it was and if they don't make it to the white flag they try it again. It's still 3 attempts anyways it's just a cheap thing to end it imo. And watching 4 hours of a race to them watch cars take the checkered flag under caution at 45 mph is almost inexcusable at this point
