I don't get why people are upset. it was him or Danica.

So what if his sponsors supporters flooded the system. That's what NASCAR asked for making it unlimited votes. And I bet they don't change it.

This is one of the best things that can happen for NASCAR. We have 100's of thousands of Reddit users suddenly giving a shit about the sport and putting their own money in. How many young people that may never have thought to watch a NASCAR race will be tuning in and really care about it tonight?

It's an awesome thing and I hope others follow the model, and Dogecoin and Reddit keep it up.

If it wasn't Wise, it likely would have been Danica. Not that any of these NASCAR drivers are hurting financially like most Americans are, but Wise could use/need that guaranteed 70k more than Danica, that's for damn sure. And if anyone saw the press conference Wise had after he was voted in, he gained a lot of respect from me. Pretty cool and humble dude. They were asking him some tough questions, and he answered them like a champ.

And it certainly isn't a bad thing to have new eyes watching the sport. Even if only 1% of Reddit users become interested in the sport, thats more than we had before all this happened.

As for wagering tonight. I usually try to take the All Star weekend off and just enjoy the racing, but that usually never happens lol.

I like a couple matchups. I think Johnson is way overvalued just because of his success here in the past. But he hasn't shown much speed on these 1.5s this year. So I think +money with Gordon over JJ is a good bet...Jeff has been a contender everywhere we've been. Same with Harvick. I'll end up on those 2 in some form.

Agree with the JG > JJ thinking. But same as you don't really get into this as a betting race. too many unknowns about car setups and driver motivation and NASCAR rulings.

When I bet before, dsi, bookmaker, and youwager had no odds at all, and when I was finishing up, I noticed 5 Dimes starting pulling odds down.

Will they come back up before the race?

Bowyer, Allmendinger, and Wise is the field for this one, I guess.
