I definitely wasn't challenging your way of betting Mike--its obviously been very profitable and I hope to earn my way into your inner circle of texts and PMs to share info throughout the week
. I've been a fan all my life but this is the first year I've really studied gambling on NASCAR, so I know I'm not even close to your league. I'll bet on winners too--Carl at +2200 last week at Bristol paid great and I also had him for a top 3 finish (for more units) at +650. Tony at +2700 was up there at the end yesterday, although his chance of actually winning was unrealistic due to how slow he'd been all day.
Bottom line is my strategy starting out is to make a bunch of bets without leaning on one particular driver too much. At Bristol about 30% of my total money was on Carl Edwards and it paid off big time. Yesterday I had a lot on Harvick but Larson and Kurt Busch bailed me out.
As I learn a bit more I'll focus my bets on fewer drivers with more $$$ per bet.
Even though I made a good profit yesterday, that race was still a joke and not fun to watch except for the last 3 laps.
