also went ahead and grabbed HARVICK (+525) for the nationwide race....

hoping odds get better later, but not sure they will so grabbed it early just in case they dont...if they do ill just add to it to make it up....

this will probably be my on play on nationwide til raceday odds are released after sessions

Anyone have any stats on how often these field bets actually win? I was looking at it as well for truck race, but I can't think the last time I saw it actually get the W.

if ur talking nationwide i cant remember a field bet everwinning....i think they are a total waste of money...

and same with any cup field bets...waste of $ unless its a plate race and odds are great

not sure about trucks but its not often then either, maybe 1 a yr im guessing if even that....but this week little different being 1st road race this week...

overall i doubt even 1 field bet wins 1 time a year from all 3 series combined....i could maybe be forgetting 1 or something in truck series cause i just dont follow it like the top 2 series

well i should have known u werent talking Cup races

it just never happens in nationwide...probably has not happened in the last 3 years that i know of anyways..maybe longer unless im forgetting 1 miracle or something

...books love that bet

trucks i just dont follow enough to be sure, but still would think 1 time a year would be the most it happens if that...

It's only when they make an error and miss someone, or like this week with lots of unknowns they are really relevant.

Name them, because I don't recall any winning. Maybe Reutimann in that rain shorten race in 2009 I think, but that is probably it. Was he listed or Field?

You probably catch books in Field mistakes, and take advantage. No "real" Field bets have hit that much.

I did wonder why no decent Canadian drivers had entered.

I see it says Ty Dillon raced in a Canadian series race there. And he plus Burton and Beuscher will be running the support race.

I agree with Fitzpatrick there should be plenty of carnage as these guys learn what an apex looks like

Maybe they need to schedule this race so it isn't at a time the local championship isn't more important than the main event to local teams.

Sounds like they would be race if they had the money to do it. Hopefully Canadian crews can start planning for it in their budget if this becomes a regular thing.

Certain seats in Truck Series are offering their seat to drivers. But you needed to bring 175k in cash to run the weekend. ie. sponsorship. From the article, it sounds like that was the going rate last time round in Montreal.
