Adelaide ML against Geelong. Will have to look into it more, but as it stands, inside knowledge has often proven to be a winner. Adelaide starting to play more and more like Geelong in their recent years.
Goodes isn't as consistently good as people might think, Sydney can hold their own without him. Tigers beating Port was nothing. I like Sydney with this one.
Port/Freemantle will be interesting, Port are always competitive in the West. But who would be BRAVE enough to bet Port to cover? They are so unpredictable on the spreads.
There's a guy on bigfooty forum who writes in-depth previews for every port game, he obviously puts in his time to do so. Everyone agrees with him and thanks him for a good write up. I'm not going to mention his username out of respect, but his write-ups are massive fade material! With everything he writes, the opposite is true.Comment -

I am shocked richmond are favourite, obviously to the reaction of goodes but they also don't have mumford so we are going to dominate in the ruck. The Josh kennedy guy who became brownlow favourite from nowhere, I had never heard of him till last week and i have watched some sydney games! Obviously not paying attention to the swans.
Richmond have upset sydney twice in a row playing in melbourne, when we were a shit team too and they were a finals team then too obviously.

Goldy was 40-1. I hate backing those markets usually, but knew we'd play him up forward this week. Didn't think he'd start on the bench though, didn't really deserve to win that one but I'll take it!
Looking at this week, and I think there is good early value. Taking Gold Coast at -19.5 ($2.10) and West Coast -1.5 ($2.10), both are slightly better on IAS than those above. I'll double them up, and play the West Coast one again. The bombers are playing good footy, but does Kennedy being out really make them favourites against the current front-runner for the premiership? I think they've got that one very wrong.Comment -

Also Brettels, I can see your angle on that one, but I think after the past few weeks the GC have come so close to getting a win and just haven't quite got there. They will be hungry for a win, and their kids have filled the shoes of Ablett/Rischitelli/Harbrow well. Bock is a big loss for them for sure, not sure whether Swallow will play or not. Of course, GWS have been competitive in recent weeks too, but they've only been doing it for 1 or 2 quarters, and then falling away. I think GC will blow it out in the last quarter.
