should be a good finish...tiger will need to shoot a 65 to have a chance in my opinion.

If Tiger could have just made a few more pars he would have been right near the top...

Phil's two straight eagles were pretty amazing.

no one here is backing choi? watch out for him...should finish well.

Tiger to win +445 at 5 Dimes that's attractive price for me, but I like +180 L.Westwood to win even better. All 4th round prices ..............

he was the square favorite. The books knew they would get plenty of square $ on him. He couldn't just come in without competing all year and win. He did better than I thought though.

lol he is right there near the top and you still think your right about this hmmmm

if he had avoided that atrocious start today he would of been right there with mickelson at the end, of course we can do if's all day but clearly he was ready to golf and had a good shot at winning this tourney so I have no fvcking idea how you can say betting on him to win was the square play...

breaking news...he didn't win.....you know the saying about ifs and buts. If everyone else wouldn't have hit bad tee shots and hit bunkers and missed puts then they would have won too. Asking him to win in his first tournament back and being the favorite is SQUARE! He did do better than I expected though.

Tiger played pretty well overall...he sometimes showed a lack of sharpness and that will come back again...next year he should win it.

                                                    2000
The U.S. Open holds its 100th playing at Pebble Beach Golf Links in June of 2000, showcasing what will become a symbolic passing of the torch from golfing great Jack Nicklaus to heir-apparent Tiger Woods. Woods’ performance is nothing short of unbelievable. His first-round score of 65 is the best 18-hole total in any of the four U.S. Opens held at Pebble Beach. On Friday, he shoots a 69, giving him a six-stroke lead on the field. Despite a triple bogey on Saturday's third hole, Woods rebounds to a par 71 and extends his lead to nine strokes.

Finally, on Sunday, in front of the largest U.S. Open television audience in two decades, he turns a dominant victory into a historic feat. Tiger combines a bogey-free round with birdies on holes 10, 12, 13 and 14. His 67 gives him a four-day total of 272, tying the record for the lowest 72-hole score ever in the national championship, and besting his nearest competitor by 15 strokes.
