Yeah this game was garbage. Even if the Storm had won I still would be saying the refs did a good job of helping the Titans get back into the game.

It's ok. Win with the Bulls, lose with the Storm. One team I've never even heard of, the other team's down the damn road. You'd think those results would have been opposite for me, no?

Ok.. i have another union tip for tomorrow, 12.30pm game.

I'm going for Western Force at +6 and also going a bit on ML. Force won their first game of the season last week by a point. The 2 games before then, they put up a real good fight, firstly losing by 4 against the Tahs and the next game they were leading the bulls at half time before going cold in the 2nd half.

With the form of the Force and the inclusions, i just have to back them here to pull off another upset.

Having said that though, my confidence of this game compared to my Bulls tip isn't as high, but the $2.80 ML shouts VALUE!

Edit: Just to add, the Force are actually playing the Highlanders. The Highlanders have been poor, they have such a leaky defence and the last win they had was 2 weeks ago which was against the worst team in the comp. They only won 39-29 in that match.

NRL tomorrow, i see that kings is on Tigers and i'm liking them too. Going to take them at +2.

My last play for tonight would be in the union again. QLD Reds -6.5 against bottom placed Lions. Reds are playing their 3rd and final game of their South Africa tour and so far they're 1-1, losing their last game to the Sharks by only 2 points. They put up a hell of a fight and should've won. Reds are also aiming to get into the Top 4, so i expect them to push hard and cover the -6.5 quite easily.

Seriously guys, that was so deliberate, i don't know if I want to keep betting on NRL after watching that second half. The refs were never going to let up giving penalites till the Titans had the lead.

I think I prefer putting my money on baseball.

It was beyond frustrating to watch. In all honestly the match review panel should critique every referee and come out with a rating/numbers/analysis and make it public to all. This guy changed the game and that's the last thing a ref is supposed to do. The best referees are the ones who are never noticed.

It was beyond frustrating to watch. In all honestly the match review panel should critique every referee and come out with a rating/numbers/analysis and make it public to all. Thats true, but its been happening for years. Sometimes the calls are so bad I think the refs can't possible be that incompetent, and theres something else going on behind the scenes, especially when the video ref butchers blantant decisions.

Seems the refs have too much indescretion to penalise some things at parts of the game, that they don't penalise at other times during the game. Theres very little consistancy. I find it frustrating to watch, even if I don't have money riding on the game.

I've followed league all my life, yet I feel more confident putting big money down on sports I loosely follow (baseball and nfl) than I do on league (or maybe its just coz I'm a bad tipster ). Unless I feel the team I'm backing can win by a large margin, I just can't bet big. Too many close games get decided by bad (or biased) decisions either in the vital last moments of a game, or even early on during that stalemate period when one team is trying to get on top of the other, which skews the outcome. I got no problem with something being penalised in the final moments of a close game that might decide the outcome, but it really has to be penalised ALL the time in the match, in EVERY match, which just doesn't happen.

Onto todays games, only game I'll have a small bet on is tigers to beat cowboys. Just feel tigers are starting to come good, and cowboys have seemed to struggle against them for the past few years (bogey side). Being a cowboys home game makes it a bit more difficult to pick though. Thoughts?

Talking about the Wests/Norths game tonight I was actually leaning towards the Cowboys. They're playing b2b at home and Wests are playing b2b on road. I think the Tigers are the better squad but there's just alot of small factors giving the Cowboys advantages. It'll be a shootout, there's no doubting that but I hate tipping against a home favourite.
