3-3 on Sun/Mon picks. I did take a valuable lesson from this however, which is to trust my opinions of a team rather than take any perceived value. Specifically, Catalan getting 10 points away from home looks like decent value, however my opinion of them is that they are lazy and undisciplined away from the South of France. Similarly, it was naive to bet Canberra given their struggles this year, even if they were getting more than 6 points start at home. Sometimes it is better to go with your own instinct and allow that to play out rather than taking the other side because you feel as though you are getting the best of it.

That was a very frustrating start to the weekend to say the least. Every wager had a decent chance and the Bulldogs were very unlucky to have four tries chalked off by the video ref which would have brought the over in as well as the cover. Brisbane were right in the contest at 4-4 and took the wrong options, lacked composure and Manly's much vaunted defence held them out from there. One of those morning where every bounce of the ball and decision seemed to go against me. Onwards and upwards.

I expect a dominant performance from the Roosters here as they tune up for the play offs. Hooker Jake Friend is missing for the home side but with their regular 1,6,7 combination playing it shouldn't have too big a negative impact. The Titans play their first game since the departure of coach John Cartwright and it's difficult to gauge what effect this will have on performance. They will try hard but I just don't see where the points are going to come from this Gold Coast side. The Roosters should have too much flair and speed in this one.

I know mate, both teams looked threatening in the first half and I thought it would fly over at half time. Don't know why they both went into a shell in the second half, the Bulldogs won't progess far in the play offs is Des Hasler has them play that one out garbage.

The whole league is too random and volatile, it's been an impossible season to predict. All the talk lately has been how tight the games have been this season and then all favourites and overs hit today.

I'm giving the NRL and coming back for the play offs before I piss away what profit I have made over the year.
