anyways bout nhl,, i've only started betting it the last couple seasons and i find that yes sometimes it will be a great money maker but at other times the fluctations between when all the good favourite teams are winning and when the underdogs are winning can be really unpredictable...like ive found that if there is a team that you know is good and playoff or even stanley cup calibre and they are in say a 5 game losing slump it is best to just stay away cause when these teams are bad they are really really badComment -

Keep up the good work RedDevil, while I don't like to blindly follow other people's plays I do enjoy reading the analysis and write up's that people provide. If you can continue occasionally writing up some of the more interesting plays you find that would be great.Comment -

Have a pick for soccer tomorrow with great value!
26/11 6:45am - Soccer Italy Seria A - Roma v Cagliari - Bet 2u on Roma to win to nil @ 2.33 (sportsbet)
This means that Roma need to win and their opponents will not score a goal! A win tomorrow will put Roma back to the top of the Seria A table, they are 10wins 2 draws and 0 losses this season! Scoring 26 and conceding only 3! Cagliari had scored just 1 in their past 3 away outings! Outstanding value with the odds on offer! It's only a matter of how many Roma put past them, I can see a 2-0, 3-0 game!Comment -

#128I dont trust Malaga attack this year, being at home might be the only reason but they have had alot of games where they have been kept goalless, and majority of their goals this year have been against much weaker opposition! They have scored 15 goals this season (1 vs Granada, 3 vs Betis (last), 2 vs Valladolid, 2 vs Almeria, 5 v Vallecano and 2 v Sevilla. Thats their goals scored in order from recent to oldest, strongest opponent scored against was sevilla(8th) early in season.
With Villa pick, whilst i believe Villa are the better side, i stay away from betting against away team in mid table clashes!!Comment -

Bet 3u on 3 legs @2.29
to my uneducated eye this bet looks like either...
*a pre-packaged teaser (with a set #points bumped on each leg of a certain sport...in this case, allowing for some price movements...looks like it COULD perhaps be a 6-point basketball teaser such as provided by 5dimes @2.2 on a 3-legger)
OR
*a do-it-yourself 3-leg multi play at bet365 where you have the freedom to choose from a wide variety of alternate spreads on each leg of the parlay...where you could bump one play by 6, another by 7.5 and another just 4.5 points...with the final configuration of spreads you choose determining the ultimate odds of the parlay (calculated the usual way as oddsA x oddsB x oddsC)...this is what i suspect you've done here cuz the bumps in the spread don't appear to be uniform across the 3 selections and the price is not a nice round number that you'd expect from a teaser
i just discovered this interesting option at bet365 a few days ago when i was muckin' around with possibilities trying to place my first teaser (the last leg of which is SFO teased up to +2 in tonight's game)...the b365 "alternate-spread-enhanced parlay) seems FAR more flexible than the garden-variety teaser (which is for set point shifts and only for football and basketball)
anyhow, where/how did you place this particular spread-modified 3-leg multi?Comment -

#135RDV, where and how u putting this play on? apart from the Aussie-only books: Sportsbook, TAB, Lux...i have most of the top-tier books up and running...but i've never really placed any exotic multiple bets (apart from my very first Am-Football "teaser" for current week-12 action

I used bet365 and took the points as i saw fit. Because im a stats man, i grade teams by overall, offensive, defensive, home, away, back to back ratings etc etc and i have ratings for my bets in level of confidence (unit size) and prediction according to statistical data of what i think the actual outcome of the game will be for example i had Arizona state today win by 9 and the line is set at 6 so 3point buffer! it i want a 10 point buffer i will buy 7 extra points! Sorry i hope i didnt confuse you!!Comment -

#136good answer...wasn't really confused..,just wasn't sure if it was an off-the-shelf American-style football-basketball teaser...or a bet365-style roll-your-own-spreads multi...thot' maybe one of your ANZ-only books had another wrinkle i didn't know about...
hey, if you're going to add an American book...i'd suggest, if at all possible, running BOTH bol and 5d...the two complement each other (and both are super-standup in the withdrawals department to us NON-americans who are able to use an e-wallet...ignore all the horror stories from Americans...the problem is their own government making it very difficult for the books to safely get money back to their "grey market" clients)...only other yankee books worthy of consideration are Heritage, any one of the Bookmaker family (i'd recommend BetCris or JustBet rather than DSI/BM-itself)...and YouWager (especially if you hit the MLB hard and are a bonus-hound)
keep the picks coming, RDComment -

#140BigBrother doesn't like the peons discussing practical matters like how we move money around etc...
Best example of this carried to a stupid extreme is an Asian tennis player whose two-letter surname is W_u cannot be spelled out properly without becoming asterisks...because it happens to have the same two letters as "W_e_stern_Oni-on"...
couldn't tell what got blotted out, but if is the word "e-wallet" or a specific brand of them...i can tell you that one of them in particular, the one that used to be called BunnyMookers (now ill-Skray) is brilliant...a seamless liason between the books and you ...so you never have to use a CCd again...
anyhow, previously i just assumed u were an e-wallet-user like me...and wanted to emphasize that if you do use an e-wallet with an American-facing book, all of the payment troubles that American players complain about just evaporate for you...you can zip $ around costlessly and quickly to where it needs to be from wherever it is now...
you may have had troubles with an e-wallet in the past (and so did I--had all four of the biggies at one time...one of them in particular caused me lots of problems with their policies--but I dropped all of 'em one by one--eventually streamlining everything around BunnyMookers which i found to be the best of the lot for backstopping all the $-movements i need for my sports-investing)Comment
